But i'll have to stop you there and say I WISH. - I am actually unemployed and have been for more than 6 months now. The last thing I bought was about 18 months ago. I used to have a less than average job - £7.50hr. The reason for my collection, as it has been 10 years in the making, I don't drink, smoke, go out, have holidays - I don't even own my house. So if anyone wants a collection like mine - it can easily be done in a decade - but you need to have NO LIFE. Anyone else reading this and wants to take a cheap shot - go ahead, as I have had it all my life, and am used to it all - Actually, I think i'll do it firstThis forum is the only thing keeping me sane, as there are other people on this planet who like the things that I do - It's a damn shame you lot don't live next door - instead of typing stuff about everyone's collections, I would rather pop round and discuss it personally.

1. You already have a life bud. The best part is that you yourself chose it.
2. You started making friends the day you jumped into this hobby. Like-minded people here. The sole reason I joined this board!
3. You've got bucketloads of confidence dude. 10 dedicated years in collecting with that level of self-control over other needs with an average salaried job - thats confidence right there, my friend!
4. Spoken like a true collector! The wants/desires are just never-ending
You are perfectly sane and insane as anyone can be! Spending on something that you can enjoy makes sense to me even though the so-called 'sane' part of the population thinks otherwise.
I don't have much in my collection but I'm slowly and gradually working to make it grow. My parents criticise me for this but whenever anyone asks about my collectibles when they visit us, my Mum and Dad proudly say that its his hobby and collection! My GF thinks otherwise though and left me as she thinks I care for my collectibles more than her even though I've always struck a balance between the two. To hell with you, witch!
So, I would say (and this has been said by others many times too) that if you really like or want something, don't let anything deterrent be in your way! Go for it! Its your money, your life, your choice. Don't let anyone else say otherwise!
