I enjoyed 2010 Wolfman, I liked Benicio del Toro a lot in that movie...
My only gripe was the final fight... everything else, was fine IMO, specially the visuals and photography...

Personally I saw nothing wrong with Oldman’s Dracula and Deniro’s Frankenstein from the 90’s. I think those two movies are the best Classic Monster movies we have to date and they are from the 90’s. Both have great replay value.

The Wolfman missed the mark. I did not like the CG and the Wolf fight at the end....to Hollywood.

I love Dracula, really love that movie
but i hate frankenstein, cant stand it, I hated Deniro playing him as some weird homeless guy, no respect, hahaha
the movie was okay but i truly hated the look and what they did with the monster...

the fight was not as bad for me since Wolfman fought Frankenstein in the past and even Dracula I think, to me it felt like a tribute to those fights, it might have not been the case but, to me, it felt that way, so i liked it

Those two were great because they weren't riding on the coattails of the Universal film, which as Anton has already said, is where Del Toro's failed. I think if Universal takes a fresh perspective on it, it'll be right up there with De Niro's Monster and Oldman's Dracula.

To this day the 90’s Frankenstein and Dracula are in need of the action figure treatment. McFarlane did do the Wolf and Bat (at least we have those too) but old and young Dracula, Frankenstein Monster and Bride of Frankenstein are way overdue!!!!

I liked Frankenstein. The make-up was outstanding. How Deniro’s make-up changed as his body was healing. And the bride is still some of the best work I have seen to date.

I didn't mind the 2010 movie... but I didn't really view it as filling the shoes of the original. However, Del Toro's acting was suprisingly bad (I usually like him) and the movie's ending was weak.

I thought it was weak in terms of the original but I didn't really have expectations that it would surpass the the OG. I found the remake good though.

What I always found odd in the original Wolfman was as a human Lon Chancey Jr. looked to be a big framed man. Towering over many other actors on screen. But when he is transformed into a Werewolf his body frame looked smaller. I know he was trying to hunch but still it seems like apples and oranges.

I don’t know just my thoughts!!!!

I enjoyed the 2010 version for what it was. I don't really care about another reboot, especially if it's straight to dvd. I don't recall seeing a descent pure Werewolf movie since Dog Soldiers and Badmoon though.

ginger snaps was not pure werewolf but it was pretty good,

I love werewolf flics, and I got so excited when the 2010 wolfman was released. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. that movie was terrible. I am not shocked one bit that a re-make is happening and not a sequel. there is obviously a story there that needs to be made, but the 2010 release was just painful to watch. I don't understand how you think a sequel is a good idea.

yea, I remember that one, I liked the first, but the second left me saying WTF. The blonde is pretty hot too........

Always wanted to check out Dog Soldiers. Just ordered it for 10 bucks on Blu. The talk of the movie made me pull the trigger, finally. So thanks! :rock

I'm surprised you never saw it one of the hundreds of times syfy has showed it in the past.

I enjoyed the '10 version more than I though I would. Del Toro fit the character to a T and despite the 'b movie' gore effects I found the whole thing to be on par with some of the classic horror films of the past century.

this is exactly what i felt, i like the movie a lot.

I like things about the 2010 movie but the story behind that scenes (if I'm remembering correctly) was that it was ruined by a producer who forced his ideas onto the creative people. I still dig the creature design and I like BDT. But the movie is a mess for sure.

I'm in for any werewolf movie that isn't tween romance garbagio.

I remember hearing those rumors, too. And, to my eye, the movie really did feel like there were multiple competing voices behind the scenes. There was a disjointed feeling about the whole thing that left me wondering if maybe a lot of what was shot by the director was maybe left on the cutting room floor while somebody else cobbled together a different movie out of the footage.

I desperately wanted to love the movie and was there opening night. But it just didn't gel for me. (I'd love to see a full-blown director's cut.) The werewolf is probably my favorite movie monster, but I haven't fallen head-over-heels in love with a werewolf movie since American Werewolf in London. (Dog Soldiers and Ginger Snaps are very solid, though.)

Come on, Hollywood. We know you can do better!
