guys a question about the Fortress base...

I've read if you're having difficulty to use a haridryer, well i used that on the bottoms of the crystals and the base and although most are okay, two are really problematic.

This one doesn't stay in well in that it's prone to tipping over and coming out...

And this one looks like it was designed wrong as the crystal design doesn't match the hole...

This isn't common is it

I shaved the inside with an Xacto knife a little bit. Some of the paint is kind of thick so it makes slipping the crystal pieces in hard and impossible.

I thought mine was improperly shaped too. But it turns out you just gotta force it in deeper. Keep heating it up to make the sockets softer.

The base sockets. Heat, force, heat, force. Just put my hair dryer on max and kept going at it. It will work.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

So like a cut joint above the elbow in addition to the cut joint above the bicep?

Right. IRL all the rotation happens at the shoulder. The elbow only flexes. But an arm cross pose is possible because the human body is soft and not made of hard plastic. So stuff squishes out of the way. Action figures make up for this by adding joints that don't exist, such as the cut bicep joint. A cut above the elbow (or below the bicep) would help make the arm crossed pose possible. [That's all you were trying to say when you said "If only the elbow joints rotated", right?]

Pretty much.

If only they could redesign new truetypes for more than 34 points of articulation? make it so the elbow can only rotate so far like a humans without sacrificing muscle bulk. Look at the Spider-Man problems with the legs. Not many legendary crouching poses can be achieved. They could do it but it probably wouldn't be profitable for them to make one off figures with the amount of movements required.

There has been lots of poses I have been wanting to shoot for both figures but it just isn't possible due to the limitations. As you'll know there will be a crunch as it can only go so far.

Right now the only figure that can successfully fold the arms is the Michael Jackson bodies. Everything else looks goofy as there is a limit due to the thickness because it's not tight to the body.

Ah, neat! Now I understand why he darkened it and it was bright and clear for the posters.
