So I got my Emperor PF the other day and its definitely a stunning piece. For those that have this, are the heads supposed to rest all the way down to the shoulders? Mine go half way down the peg and it seems to look fine when displayed. I also wan't sure if you were supposed to remove the fabric thats on the neck peg.

Yeah I just got mine today, I was wondering the same thing too about the neck peg.

Also I must say this is absolutely stunning. I can't believe how massive the chair looks. Anyways, back to fiddling with him :monkey3

I definitely think you are supposed to move the fabrick out of the way for the head, hence the purpose of the velcro there. I think I managed to push the head on slightly further, I moved the fabric over the neck peg down (though I'm not sure if that was needed). At first the head was almost hitting the top of the chair when seated, now it looks much more in-line with the other pictures on the thread.

I left the cloth on the peg and haven't pushed the head down hard and it seems to sit right.

I've seen some photos of wonky eyes.

Let's take some photos to compare?

Got my EX today... H-O-L-Y crap this is good. Someone said the 1/6 is better? I beg to differ. I have both and the PF hammers it. The sculpt, quality of finish, everything; it's in a different ball game. Until you have them both in hand it's really hard appreciate the massive difference.

The cape/hoody definitely needs futzing but once you play around with it, it looks great.

Yeah, uh... no.

Yeah, that photo of the hoody looks like crap. The clasp is choking him. The shot I took on the previous page shows it sits far better than that pic. And I'm no expert at futzing, so I'd say something with some skill could make it look great.

Yeah this looks way better than the PF lol.

If only they could get the PF to look more like plastic, oh well.

It definitely comes down to a quality photographer, cool lighting and some futzing skill with either size.

Saying that, I always laugh when some "expert" has their opinion without having the item in hand. :cuckoo:

It's like reading the back of a dvd cover and saying "that's a crap film." An educated opinion goes a long way...

Again, I've got both 1/6 & PF and the PF kills the 1/6.

:exactly::goodpost:

I posted the bad pic on purpose, bc that other guy purposely posted the worst pic of the PF and the best possible pic of the 1/6.

I'll trust the opinion of the person who has both in hand.

Added to the Rebelscum Photo Archive.

for the record, since there seems to be a discussion about photography, please not that the RRS and CTR photo archives are shot with clinical lighting to accurately show what you get. We aren't aiming to create art.

Just got palpa today still unboxing him. Did you all also get a calendar

Came in his box

Yeah I got it too, nice surprise lol. How do you like it? I'm still loving it, there so much articulation, can't stop trying out different looks.

so has anyone tried the mod on palpy's hoodie? pics please

I cut the small thread that holds the hood down at the back but it didn't improve things much. I will look at moving the clip down a bit, but unfortunately I think the hood is 3/4 of what it should have been. :slap

It's awesome I knew it was good but damn it's great in person. The sculpt and paint job is fantastic and I didn't know it would be articulated so that was a plus. Another surprise was the weight of the chair solid. I'm really happy with this purchase especially since I was able to get the ex and just order it last week after seeing all the pics on this thread. I'm posing him without the ex since I want to have him like in troj. The ex head and action hands are from the scene when his standing up trying to kill Luke. So I'm sticking with the regular to leave him as movie accurate as possible on his throne.

I watched troj in order to see how to pose his hood. I got it to look as best as possible with the material. It's suppose to fold and drape at the bott on both sides and the beak of the hood should be flat and square as per the movie. It would have been nice to have a bit more hood cloth to be able to properly drape the hold at the bottom. It takes time to do it properly and must be done right in order to fully display him as he should be IMO, the hood set up the whole Visual

I don't have any issue with my hood. It seems to sit pretty well?
