Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I absolutely loved Superman as a kid. Now I think he has kind of lost his mojo. We really need a great Superman film. Problem is it really is hard to replace CR.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I returned that Batman to SS for a refund. It was broken ...didn't want another one after that.

I'm mainly just looking for the new parts to add to my MMS67 version. I'll probably sell the rest or possibly stick it in the Batmobile maybe I don't know yet. But SUPERMAN!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Are people in the US receiving their non-sideshow orders already as well?

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Oh, yes it does.

It works at convincing everyone who sees you "He's wrong in the head! If I touch his toys I'm a bit scared of what will happen!"

WIN!

Oh no, not singing the Superman theme, that's not what I meant. I meant typing out music or in this case, soundtrack themes. If I stretch my imagination I know what part of BAA BA DA ♪♫♫ . . . is of the Superman theme but for the most part everyone's head has a different hum.

If that was posted any where else, especially in a non-Superman related section I'd have no idea what you were talking about. :lol

Do you guys have any idea how lonely it feels to be the only person in the world who was underwhelmed by this figure? I'm in no way being a whiner or a hater here - short of hypnosis I tried everything possible to like it. And I admit it's a fantastic sculpt, body, outfit, stand and packaging. And it's almost impossible to take a bad photo of it.

But... when I put it on my shelf I just couldn't get over the fact that the head is too small and the skin tone - on mine at least - too dark.

I want to like this so much that I'm actually going to buy another one just to check that I didn't get a bad batch. And of course, I'm please for everyone who loves this and is due to get it around now.

My Jack Sparrow DX is currently in the air from Hong Kong. If I don't like that, I think I'll seek psychiatric help.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I was kind of hearing more of the Adam West Batman theme while I read it.:lol

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

But will you be going "♪ BAA BA DA ♪♫♫, DADADADAAAAA!!!! ♪ BAA BA DA ♪♪♪, DA DAD DADADA ♫♪♪♪, DUDUDH DU DU DAAAA DA ♪♫..." ?

Anything worth doing is worth overdoing.

That never works.

:lol I actually read through the whole thing and heard every note. :D

Yours has a bigger porblem than a tan, it has the lazy eye. I'd definitely send it back and get a new one. The eyes should look like they are looking at you. Yes there is wide angle distortion in your shot, however that should not have caused that much Rogue lazy eye to your sculpt.

eyes should look like this.

Thanks - what do you think of the tan though? It's definitely the only one that colour that I've seen!

As you can see with OMG's pics and others, the color varies depending on the lighting. The best pictures I have seen have come from direct sunlight. In your case, I see the head being a different color than the neck which is not a good sign. Is it that way in person? I would definitely send it back if you can, if not then sell it on ebay and buy another as you may have gotten a bad apple of the bunch.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

It actually took me awhile to notice that that lad is looking directly at the camera with one eye while the other is looking off elsewhere. Once you do notice it its seems pretty obvious. I wonder if any of my HT figures actually have this affliction and I don't realise.

So, forgive my ignorance...what is it that Forrest Whitaker and Dr.Evil have, if not lazy eye? Lazy eyelid?

Thanks for the advice. It does look like it. It would actually make a good base for an evil superman custom!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I pretty much hate the USPS. My seller shipped this guy Monday via Parcel Post, and when he got insurance on the package, the lady told him it would be trackable with the insurance number, so he didn't get delivery confirmation.

Of course, it's NOT trackable with the insurance number, so I have no idea where it is or when it should be getting here. Pretty sure it will be here Saturday, but damn...I like the option of tracking it.

The guy does have like 471 spotless feedback on Ebay and sells a lot of HT stuff, so I'm not worried about not getting it...just wish I had a way of seeing where it is.
