Well technically he was the last blood heir and rightful King, that's why he wasn't killed by the King of the Dead. Whether he was publicly recognized is another matter.

He was the rightful king, but he would not carry the title until he became king.

I have no problem with the outcome of the contest mind you, but i put some thought into it last night. And I still do not think he had the title "King of Gondor"" at that point in the movie.

That's what I was thinking as well so I put that he was heir to the throne of Gondor as well as Isildur's heir.

But oh well.....I'm telling myself I haven't won yet so I will be eligible to win an awesome LOTR or Templar PF prize!
