Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

THIS is IT! NICE!

Very nice, but does anyone know if the arms can spread out, in other wards can you put the arms in a T type position, like when he was holding hands with Lois in the remerable flying scene, when I saw the body online, I thought it would suggests this, but maybe the costume restricts this, I'm curious :dunno

I haven't seen any pics of the arm being stretched, has anyone else?

i don't mind the boots being hard plastic, but i can see it as limiting if one wants to pose the figure simulating flight...

The last few batches of pics sealed the deal. Figure of the year.:drool:lecture It should have came with extra set of 'flying' boots though. That wouldn't have been too much to ask for at this price point.

I agree, I saw the single boots are just attached to the bottom of the boot by HT typical ball joint, they could've have easily included a ball jointed flexed type of flight boots, oh well, the figure is still impressive. :thud:

I see a deluxe PERS Supes coming soon, I think the price point is justified because of the proceeds going Reeve's charity organization. Although it makes no sense they wouldn't go all out for Reeves supes, since they did with the horrible Indy sculpt. I hope we see a deluxe PERS Superman soon. But I'll take this one for the time being.

Time to mold and cast some red rubber for flying boots. Its not that hard to do. Only real challenge is getting the red the correct color in rubber.

I love that pic of him looking up.

I just received my notice from SS billing is about to begin. I set it up originally for flex pay but f--- that. I'll call them after early next week and pay the balance. I want this in Nov when all the cool kids get theirs.

Amazing

Superman-03.jpg

Great profile, great everything. Thanks Arnie Kim for fixing the prototype.

But what I was suggesting is that a better sculpt could be made, and it would make the current one look a lot like the prototype in terms of quality, but also in terms of accuracy. The second one was a modification of the first and you can see it, but it would be more obvious if there was a third to serve as a foil.

Better?

I get it now. :wave

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

So it's confirmed - no ankles articulation :(

I have not seen this confirmation. :huh

Hard boots = stands good.

Well yes, if you get the whole figure lined up perfectly from the knees up. Personally, for the most part, I find that I can get a figure to stand better with ankle articulation. I get the body from the knees up to look how I want it, and then it's all about ankle articulation to get the figure to 'stand good'.

The obvious exception is weak ankles, but there are several ways to fix that.

Theres the gazing heavenward pose! :yess:
