HT (or maybe it was just Yulli) did admit to being disappointed with the V1 Joker sculpt. So it does happen.

Although it is also possible that this sculpt was approved and they were not allowed to alter it. Hard to say how much of a final figures look is a creative/artistic decision or dictated by the license holders.

Believe me, I certainly hope that happens and we get a great TOD Indy.

My biggest fear is that this was Sideshow's and Hot Toys's last ditch effort to drum up interest in the whole Indy 1/6 line. SS has been saying for over a year that the line has cooled because of lack of interest. And so if HT can't make an Indy to sell out, then they will just put the last nail in the coffin.

I see a lot of Ford here and there but something just wrong. Paint job looks good tho. The material that use on the jacket had me worry.

Is not really that bad but for this price tag I regret getting it.

To be fair PERs looked wonky on this fig from the start!

On Joker and Bats (89), from the proto pics, the PERs looks great

At least I have some idea that the TOD Indy should look a heck of a lot better than this. Hopefully the prototype will show a closer likeness to Ford.

As for the OMG pics, none of them look like Ford to me at all. This looks like a retarded version of Ford. The eyes are definitely too deep in the socket and the paint job around the eyes is lacking the realistic touch that the Superman sculpt has.

I was gonna wait to see if the hat could be lowered, an i would've bought it as it was, i figured HT would improve it, but they seemed to make it worse.

i would've bought the figure in the top image with the hat a bit lower, but not the one below which looks worse off than the proto.

Why there is such uproar is really beyond me. It's a fine effort and as good as the other human faces hot toys has given us. I know OMG's pics always look fabulous and this is no exception.

Why didn't Hot Toys just do the minor adjustments like everyone mentioned.

WOW, that's totally it Josh, you nailed it! With that adjustment it looks like a great representation of a 1/6 RAIDERS Jones to me. It looks like HT had the same problem SS had with their Belloq...TOO MUCH JAW!
