As cool as they will be, I can't see this line going very far.

Pix, come on. SW fans are notorious for blowing ____-tons of cash on this stuff. There are dudes that buy $5,000 brass statues. :duh They'll be fine. Again, I'd consider one or two. Or none.

Waller can comment since he saw these in person but they're worth the money IMO. I mean they're probably some of the coolest items I've ever seen. I think I'd probably stick to say Sauron and Maybe like GTG.

Meow! "Waller can comment..." :lol

The quality is definitely there. I was blown away with how good Maul and Obi-Wan looked.

Sideshow will have plenty of characters to choose from. I think most collectors will get one or two and be happy. The cost and size will keep people from getting more than that.

But will the quality BE there when you open it. Look I love SSC, but more often than not there is a difference between prototype and production.

Yeah, its there when you open production pieces. They have mistakes like every company making any product.

I have no interest in buying this, unless I were rich, but I'm so damn curious at the price point on this cause it will give us an idea on the price of the others. I say all 4 will be in the range of $1200-1500. Some of you are forgetting IM and Neyriti were made by Legacy, that makes them a lot pricier then a in house project.

Prototypes look fantastic but then when have SSC protos not looked fantastic? Can you imagine footing a 2K bill only to have paint issues?

In order for SSC to make this line flourish they need to really tighten up their QC here more than any other line, make it easy and affordable for people to order and be selective with their character choices.

There are a lot of things that look fantastic but unaffordable and if SSC finds a way to make the Flex schedules around $200 then they'll get people to bite instead of three payments of $700 or even 5 payments of $400.

I'm hoping the QC will be emphasized on these.

Good point. I hadn't thought of that.

what did you think of Wolf? Did he still look really big even though he's not the same scale as the others?

While Maul is not one of those characters that I would spend this kind of money on, I am very interested in seeing two things: The price & The FlexPay schedule. I want Boba Fett, Vader and Jedi Luke in these scales, probably a Stormtrooper as well depending of course how they are paced out but if the Flex is unreasonable or too short then it'll show me that I might only end up with one maybe two from any of the licenses.

If I were SSC I would definitely pace these out long enough where you could have damn near a year to pay off because then it'd prod me into getting more of them.

I agree on all counts. Like I said, I will have one and one only this will be him.

If it's two, gimme Wolvie.

But I hope they can spread it out if not its going to be hard.

Do you have enough points that would negate the fact that you won't make points on this purchase?

I have to see that. How many points in a dollar ?

I think of any, this one will be the one with the least issues. It is rare they mess up a maul much less one of this scale. and more cloth than paint.
I will do my ultimate best to have this to complete my sideshow darth maul collection.

:exactly:

Wolf was amazing. Even though he's smaller, he's got a lot going on with his stance and more detailed sculpt.

Who's your signature girl? :date

I think it's 20 points.

I know to have many options all at once will be better for sales. To give everyone options is best and will translate to more sales for SS and more options for the consumers

I hope to see at least 5 of these per year

(They displayed 4 new ones at the show)

The Pred size although small would look good in a Pred collection, but not so good next to the others

that's good to know. Realistically, I would prolly only get Predator statues from this line, but I hope I can get either RWOS or Sauron.

Any ideas about the price of the Darth Maul? Averone?

Why the differrent scales?

:dunno............prolly so it will look good displayed with the SWS P1 maquette or the CM Pred. That's how I look at it. As long as the price is reasonable for it's size, Wolf is the only one of the 4 that was worked on by another company (ADI). I just hope we see a 3ft tall P1 someday from SS.

i love this figure, but jumping in without seeing an actual production model is not a risk i am willing to take.

Yep $1,800 is what I guess for both Maul and Obi and these are out of range for 99% of Sideshow's customers.

maul obi around 1200-1500 from scott at the con. then again u never know with these guys.

and some people are saying that all of the Legendary Scale figures will have an open edition, if Sideshow does that it's a bad move.
