I was fine with the previous sculpt so this is all cool with me but do Hot Toys visit these threads? I would've they would look to the Asian boards before a western one.

There seems to be a global analness to collecting, that's probably more or less the same all over. So, be it Facebook, here or some other forum, I'm sure fans made a difference. I don't know that I'd say this board was the end all reference for HT. There was enough murmuring going around elsewhere, they didn't need to ever see this board to get the idea some people wanted tweaks to be made. Apparently they agreed. That's probably the extent of it.

As for the supposed box. I think it's nice but I would've preferred the more chromey metallic font and crest stuff from the movie materials.
ie the big steal 'S' instead of the red and yellow.

That old sculpt should be purged from the thread. It didn't, and still doesn't look like Christopher Reeve. Hot Toys greatly improved this figure with the extra effort of the new sculpt.

I know we had our differences over the prototype, but I agree the new one is better

This does look newer. Promotional picture taken by Hot Toys themselves. There is no dispute now IMO.

The box doesn't look enough like a box. Cancelled.

Hmm a lot of people are jumping to the conclusion thats the box, where did this information come from? Would the base and figure even fit inside? Surely this is just a promotional standee and not infact the box. It would be cool if the figure came with it but I'll be happy either way.
