Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

The problem wasn't with the hope HT would fix it. It was with the attack of the blow hards proclaiming it was perfect and they'd murder your first born if it was touched to the vocal few who said it needed work and had plenty of room to improve. The minority was right and that's obvious now.

But the same can be said about ever single collectible out there. None are 100% pinpoint accurate. There is also no proof this is a altered sculpt, it's just a angle that hasn't been shown yet.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Lol it IS very clearly a new sculpt, the entire mouth is different, the curl is different, the eyes are different

It'll become very clear the more new shots we get

Agree with Wofford completely, minority was right and the anger spewed towards the nitpickers is laughable

HT logo is obviously better, and for the best.

Of course. Like the post above yours, people like to think highly of themselves and supposed victories on the internets. :lol

Heh. Instead of fighting about whether it should be fixed, we can fight about who was more obnoxious before it was fixed.

I want an idealized version. That's what's in my head. My memory of the logo isn't hand sewn and asymmetrical. HT made the right choice in cleaning up the logo IMO.

You seek the works of Robert Tonner.

The logo as presented is woefully inaccurate. Fact.

Have to agree. But not as much of an issue for me as the likeness. Also, should be fairly easy to customise an accurate logo and stick it on

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Not that sore over the logo. Honestly I wouldn't mind if they took some liberties with the costume, like a longer cape, bigger logo, etc.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Logo looks super.
Sculpt looks super.
Figure looks super.

Fact.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Again I agree-

But the Keaton Batman has to be the standard by which these things are judged- even in prototype it's accuracy is not an issue. Yet the defining whopping great red & yellow logo seems to be an afterthought. It was a unique design for the Movies- it was NOT any form of generic one presented in any other media. To me this is as lazy as putting the Batman Returns logo on the '89. Yeah the custom route is one direction, but why be forced down it with this expensive piece?

Did I say how much I loved the new head? Nobody's mentioned the eyes seem bigger...

Well to be honest the Keaton batman chest armour is not exactly accurate either, but it's not apparent until you actually look very closely, add to that the sculpt looks amazing and the overall impact is very impressive

With the supes logo the inaccuracy is very apparent and I agree one shouldn't need to customise for the money this is going for, but then same could be said about a lot of HTs figures (capes on all the Nolan batman figures have been pathetic, for example)

Actually ... I prefer the logo as is. I always thought the actual logo looked a little sloppy.
