Reminds me of Pitt's line in Se7en. "naked, coated in peanutbutter." :lol

Yep, the Harmy versions are basically the best possible "Special Edition" I could have hoped for. Cleaned up matte boxes, no snowspeeder transparencies, but otherwise the exact same shot for shot edit and soundtrack of the original films.

I really think these are now the best versions of the OT that have ever been released. I truly feel that balance has been restored and I can let go of any and everything that ever annoyed me about the SE's, as well as fully enjoying the PT on its own terms. :lol

I have to agree... even though its not an official LFL release just having a HD clean copy of the OT is enough to put a lot of the annoyance out of my mind.

So hot...:drool

You know Carrie was always pretty back in the day but she always seemed to look extra spectacular in profile.

That would be a SWEET vintage piece to add to the collection.

Totally! That was actually one of my first SW toys ever. My parents had it stashed with a handful of Kenner figures in my easter basket April of 1979. :rock

My brother owned that blaster, so eventually I got it as a hand-me-down. Still one of my favorites from that time :rock

Anyone else notice that later in RotJ (specifically the scene where Luke reveals to her Vader's identity and his own as her brother) Leia looks awful, haggard, and prematurely old?

Yes and I'm really finding myself loving the fact that I can just get back to loving the Star Wars of my youth. Thankfully it appears that as long as there is the internet we'll never be lacking nice transfers of the original OT ever again.

Han/Greedo, Vader's CG ESB shuttle and Jedi Rocks have bullied their way to the forefront for long enough. Good riddance, and not short enough, their rule was. :lecture

Carrie was admittedly taking A LOT of cocaine during the filming of ROTJ. This explains the awesome body and the occasional looking of crap.

Watching the original ROTJ in all its fan restored glory reminded me how much creepier the Sarlacc Pit was in the 1983 cut. When it was just a nasty mouth and throat it kind of seemed like some terrible orifice that would pull you possibly hundreds of feet down into the earth to the creature's stomach. Kind of a combination of two horrifying fates; claustrophobia plus a bottomless pit.

Starting in 1997 it just became another chomping monster. Scary in a sense but at least you might get lucky and get bitten by the beak in such a way as to die a quick death right on the surface as opposed to the guaranteed smothering and slow digestion the original way.

Well stated. One digested you for 1000 years and the other just ate you.
