...any new Vader will probably cost $200. If IG-88 is $175, FX-7 will cost that much, if not more. 2-1b and the Chopper Droid will each cost atleast the price of a Battle Droid. The table would be $250-350, and that's being naively optimistic.

Add shipping and it's over $1000 right now. Figure how low the prices I'm imagining are, and it breaks a grand sitting in the warehouse.

God forbid you live in California. :lol

I think the sculpts on the clones have been great (the human sculpts), beachhead was awesome, stalker was as well. Actually, as a whole the Joe line has been damn good. Also Yoda was really good he's the last none clone figure I received from Star Wars.

Huh?:dunno

Look Rusty, I love SSC. I used love their prices too. And as far as they've come I can't honestly say they're on par with Hot Toys in the paint department. The face. The eyes/face are the first thing you notice on a Hot Toys figure (or any figure really), there is no way something (again as awesome as he is) like Stalker is as nice as say Sweeney Todd. I'm talking paint, materials, and overall craftsmanship. Trust me, I am a bigger SSC fan, I just don't think they are quite there yet in terms of overall quality. And since they've tip-toed over into the price range for Hot Toys figures then I expect Hot Toys quality. Pretty sure Captain America is right around the same price/will be released as Zartan productionwise. And I am sure Cap will be a nicer figure. I'd love to be wrong. I could cut them some slack when figures were $89.99 to $124.99 but breaking the 150 mark then I want Taylor & Barnes type of quality. And I was saying the T-800 was perfect as it gets. Studs withstanding.

Well, if you mean the HT T1 version, many did come missing a stud on the jacket. And if you try to switch out the damaged arm it usually makes the joint a bit loose fitting. Also, the uzi fits a bit awkwardly in his hand, but. . .yeah, other than that, pretty much. I would have a hard time thinking of a more perfect figure in my collection.

Quiet you, he is perfect! :pfft:

Gotta agree with you Deak... aspects of Sideshow are clearly at HT level; accessories, sculpts, and some clothing elements.

But when you look at the total package, especially paint work on heads, Sideshow has not yet bested a HT figure. And I love some of their recent releases like Yoda and Hammerhead, but even on those guys you can see the paint work (while great) just isn't HT level.

Hot Toy is perfect. :lecture

My Beachhead had a 5-o-clock shadow covering the complete right side of his face. :wave

Gotta agree with this. Sideshow has certainly improved leaps and bounds since the days of $40 figures, but they are still a few steps behind HT. Unfortunately, their prices have just about caught up. Let's also not forget that HT has recently jumped in price too to over $200 per figure for their last wave of announcements.

Thats fine you can't agree as a whole. I buy for me and post my opinion. I don't ask nor expect people to agree with me and don't care one way or the other if they do. I think Stalker is way nicer than sweeney todd that figure is cool but not that impressive honestly. It wasn't to me at comic-con anyways. I have no doubts Cap will be impressive he looked it at comic-con and I love the way it looked there. Zartan looked damn impressive as well so I'm quite excited to see that one again when he ships. I'll take your word for it. I'm not a fan of the series really so I never paid attention to it. I agree HT turns out figures that are damn good a lot, but they have misses as well like the Indy figure or the AWE POTC figures. Thats what I was getting at.

SSC isn't too far behind.

(For Mike) It's cool ese, agree to disagree. :duff See kids (boardies born after July of 2009) this is a fine example of a HotToys/SSC debate where no one got buuutthurt and everyone was civil. And in all fairness Jo____o, Indy isn't out yet and the AWE figures were ok, as nice as Cannibal Jack is his skin tone is all over the place. And, "I care."

edit: I couldn't say Josh-i-to.

Yeah, adult conversations are nice when we're talking about our toys. :lol You learn a lot by talking with folks this way.

You can't say that? :lol Is that some kind of cuss word I'm not aware of? :lol

I love my AWE figures. My only complaint is that they didn't make Barbossa and Tia Dalma.

I would never have sold Davy Jones if they had made the other two.

Uh, they're dolls. :lol You know there are a lot of members here who could legitimately learn something from an adult discourse on this forum.

Davy Jones was too small. And no Barbossa was a crime.

I think it was 45 minutes... at least that's the number I've heard bantered around. Personally surprised to see an ES that high for an exclusive... I thought days of those numbers were long gone. But it is Boba Fett and I could see this bringing in a lot of new customers and even a few back to the table.
