He looks pretty awesome. The only problem I can see is his nose should be wider and mouth should be bigger. He looks like a girlie man Luke. Even more girlie than mark generaly did.

I'm in the same boat... I'll buy it based on this, but the regular sculpt needs just a bit of tweaking to be as nice as the BD.

I think the Depp comparison is pretty accurate... he looks like a cross between a young Hamill and Johnny Depp.

He's 25% Beatles to me (and yes I'm going to post this picture everyday until HT fix the sculpt...You hear ME HOT TOYS!!!??)

Nice figure but sculpt needs more work in order to look like Mark Hamill's Luke. In that profile pic, he looks nothing like Hamill.

tweak the regular face , lower the pockets and uncertain about the boots and the guy is golden.

I think this looks great and even if HTs doesn't tweak anything, I'll be happy to own this. The only thing I'm worried about is the price for this guy.

Awesome figure! I'm so glad I sold my red-eyed SS Bespin Luke a few years ago. Well, at first I was kinda bummed that I sold him when they announced Yoda and the Hut, but I had convinced myself that I could display Yoda there without him in a "pre-Luke-visit" scene. And the eyes on mine were just too darn red (the red outline around the iris was so thick it covered most of the blue) to risk buying a replacement SS Luke. So this news of a HT Luke has made me very happy! Although I'm disappointed he doesn't appear to come with the Yoda backpack...perhaps Sideshow will offer an exclusive DX with an extra body and backpack??? If so I'll have to be lightning fast when the PO goes up. I estimate Luke will be sold for at least $250-300 , which sucks, but isn't a deal-breaker.

I love that HT seems to be bent on doing real boots now.

I didn't like them at first but the more I look at them the more I see that they're correct.

I was actually kinda impressed that they did the full on real boots for Luke. That looks like a lot of assembly work.

Yeah a lot of people say that but when it comes time to order or pay it might be a different story.

Do most people pre order with SS so they have no cancelation fee if they decide at the last minute not to order? Ive done most of my shopping through alter ego and after 14 days you can't change your mind. I might go the SS way if that's the case.

Depends on the price and quantity. Sideshow has been charging a Non Refundable Deposit for items over $250, and for lower priced items if you are ordering 2 or more. So if Luke comes it at $250 or more, then yes, there will be a non refundable deposit with him.

You also see a lot of these same people who say price is no object, as soon as an emergency hits and an unexpected bill comes due, up goes the collection for sale. Unless you're pretty well off, of course $300 for a doll is going to be a big deal.
