Statue Arwen Maquette

It doesn't bother me, but now I can't unsee it.
Like a weird optical illusion, my eye gets drawn to what look to be long, flowing sidesburns. If you guys had never said anything I would have never noticed.

Blame RoboDad, I didn't notice it either until he mentioned it. But now I keep looking at it as well.

I still haven't......

It really doesn't make it look bad, but like Seaward my attention is drawn to it because I know it's there. It wouldn't prevent me from ordering it though if I were so inclined. At least there's no flower with this statue that I could break like I did with the original Arwen.

I know, it's terrible. For the same price as the reg. edition we have to suffer with a maquette featuring a lower ES and two separate headsculpts, one with the Evenstar and a scar, the other without....how dare SS give us two display options for the price of one. Granted, I don't think it's the greatest excl. SS's ever produced, but I think I'll take that over an excl. 'How it was Made' print any day of the week.

Not only is the likeness, not the worst.......based on the unpainted headsculpt it's probably the best. The paint app's from what we've seen so far, are another story altogether. Now if you want the headsculpt re-painted or tweaked the way alot of us do, you can waste your time telling them to "FIX IT!!!" in a thread where they're never going to see it or you can contact them directly with your concerns like many of us have done.

I was simply expressing how I feel. If you feel that I am wasting my time, well then luckily it is my own time to waste as I see fit.

That's true, it is your time to do with what you wish. And if you'ld rather engage in the pointless exercise of expressing your feelings in a thread SS's never going to see....then knock yourself out. Personally speaking, I like to believe alot more can be accomplished by contacting SS directly with my concerns, than simply whining about something and doing nothing about it.

Yes, that looks much better....the skin tones look much more realistic, and the eyes look fantastic. The lips still need to be redder though.

These shots do show that the likeness is really nice, but the lips are still a little pale. Maybe Galadriel PF could lend her some color. With a slight tweak to the lips to give them a little more rosy hue, this looks to be on par with the excellent figures already offered!

FYI, I did contact them. So if I want to whine about the statue on here like a lot of other people, I will. Dunno why you are having a little tantrum about my comment in particular. I will leave it at that.

When don't some decent pic's, and the statues themselves not look better than the previews.....and when don't people complain while waiting for some decent pic's
