Heres a shot of the final head sculpt. I think it looks pretty good!

I added the little teeth in the front and on the sides and put a few more boney protrusions around.

I'm not too crazy about how long the front mandibles are. From my reference pics, they look to be a bit shorter in length.

One more modification to the mandibles and we're all done... :hi5:

More to come...

That is just so impressive. I so look forward to your updates everyday, and you definitely have yet to even come close to disappointing :rock

Can't wait to see what Joe does with this!!!

Thanks guys, glad you like it...:hi5:

Well, I trimmed down the mandibles to the correct size. I also beefed up the right tooth a little bit.

I made the tooth so it comes off. I did this so Joe could paint the inside of the mouth. Otherwise, it would have been very tricky to paint.

Joe wanted me to prime the head and send him a pic to see if I needed to change or alter anything. He likes it! Says it ready for paint. :hi5:

Ok, a few more full shots of the whole piece assembled and then it's off to Joe's lair...:yess:

Thanks guys, I really appreciate the great comments.:)

I know you guys are hardcore fans of the predator, so I knew this had to be done right. And I'm really glad I took on the challenge.

Awesome guys, thanks!!! :hi5:

Well, this is it! He's finally finished. I must say this was a long and daunting project. He's all packed up and ready to ship to Joe.

I want to say thanks to all the guys who commented and all of you who helped me out tremendously (you know who you are).

So heres the final shots (missing a few conversions but they are there).
I took these pics earlier so they may look a bit different. The last modification I did was sand down the gums a little more and add the longer dreads to the fronts and sides.

It looks a bit odd with all the different colors and such, so try to picture the Elder somewhere under there.

Man I can't wait too see how Joe paints this up. :yess:

cant wait to see this done up by joe man, great work

you did a really good job, I imagine Joe is gonna do the bones for him as well?

excellent work! :)

question, how are you going to put the netting back?

Thanks guys! :)

Everything is removable. I completely took it apart. I also wanted to remove the netting so Joe wouldn't have to paint thru it. It's much easier for him this way.

For the legs: I built/sculpted it so it can be taken apart where the front loin cloth lines up with the legs. So I pop out the legs, tuck the netting in and pop the legs back in the slots.

For the chest: It comes off at the waist. Tuck the netting under the belly and at the neck. Then I'll just glue the parts back on.

:)

You're probably sick of hearing it but that is insane, man lol!

Just for fun I popped in the Blu-ray of the film and did some comparing and you nailed pretty much everything on him so sweet work indeed.

I assume you'll add the quills and beads after you get him back from Joe? No doubt he'll paint the dreads grey like they are in the film.

I can't wait to get a look at this thing when you get him back!

Awesome work adegregorio!! You're going to have yourself a grail on your hands after Joe paints that bee-otch up :rock
