Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I would like that, but I think it's doubtful, they did a great job on the first one and it was a really big project for them. I doubt they'd put that much work in again for a variant.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I don't see the need to replace the Tumbler tbh. He's got that and then the bike from the first one still for more narrow chases.

The batsuit was a sensible upgrade, he needed to move his neck to see. You can't really improve on a jet tank capable of short bursts of flight and running over police cars.

Sensible is arguable. Sure he needed to move his neck but they could have just adjusted the cowl if it were sensible not go for a whole new suit that is 100% different other than color. I do agree that you can't really upgrade the Tumbler.

Well the plates on the suit were also better for stopping gunfire, but more vulnerable inbetween to stabbing as Fox puts it. It makes sense, the real threat in BB was Ras and the League who used swords, and in TDK, Lau, SWAT, and the Joker's Goons all used guns. Oh and Harvey who actually shot him.

Well it's not just the cowl that is more agile, it's the entire suit! You can see it in every movement of his in TDK vs Begins

I dont think there's any doubt the TDK suit was an upgrade inevery respect from a practicality point of view

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Looks less intimidating, and that's about 50% of Batman's effectiveness IMO.

I agree there, what pushes my opinion even more on that though may be the general feel of Begins over TDK. Begins has a much more intimdating feel overall.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I feel like the base suit will be the same as TDK just with new gadgets or small mods, i don't think we'll see a full overhaul.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

My thoughts on the chanting is that it has something to do with the league of shadows.

I blame the Marker.

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

I'm really not. Just that your suggestion sounds bloody awful! :lol

Okay genius. I assume you stick with a "Batman runs away from or into the screen" shot for the 1000x time shot. How fresh and original.:thud:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Yes, everyone will say F'it if a movie with "Batman" in the title does not have Batman as the main character. Why the hell would a movie series with 1 film left need to expand by shifting the focus to another character that no one knows or cares about?

It would expand due to Nolan being done with Batman, or did you forget?
Who knew about 95% of the characters from X Men first class, Thor, Kick a$$, or Green Lantern before they came out? Those b:mad:tches still made some money, gained sequels (don't focus on how bad lantern was), and people learned about new characters. Seriously, that thinking is why DC cannot get anywhere. Their fans are so main- streamed that they don't want to see anything else, while marvel has poked around all over the place. Thats funny though, because Grayson became Nightwing a long time ago, and is still Batman right now. Who said it needed to have Batman in the title anyway? Batman: Legacy could fit, but Nightwing, Gotham City, or Bludhaven would be far better.

Wait, they're not main-streamed, their stuck in 1939, where Batman was the only hero of Gotham. Good GOD.:gah:

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Heavier Bale in BB + BB Suit = Intimidating
Skinnier Bale in TDK + BB Suit = Goofy

Seriously, Bale in that BB suit at the beginning of TDK looks comically bad.

Hahahah he really did.. I also think they were deliberate in making it look a bit bad/goofy, to futher justify the need for an upgrade. Also that blue tint of TDK didn't go well with the Begins suit

Re: The Dark Knight Rises

Deckard I'm afraid I don't follow you on that one. You'll have to explain.

Just a joke, In Dead Space, the Marker drives everyone insane and when you get close to it you can hear chanting in Latin.

Always reminded me of the end of The Shining, when there is also chanting in Latin as everyone is going insane running through the hotel.

I want to play that game right now because of you. Thanks:)
