It's nice to get a close-up on the shoes. They look great.

It's too close to call on that Indy head. It 'looks' different, but that's probably just my brain telling me what I want to see. But, the fact that Sideshow has one in hand to take photos of, says that it WILL be at SDCC.

Looks kinda the same to me, but who knows. Even though I'm passing on the DX, I secured the map room disguise pieces through Toy Anxiety, so I'm set for the new environment!

Here is a close up on that head from the 'zoom gallery'

Looks to have more of a smirk than I remember...

Very hard to say. MAYBE it looks a little different, but it could just be the lighting. Unfortunately, it still looks off.

Nah. I take it back. It looks like the same sculpt.

I have a spare 1/6 pf scuplt that I plan to use with the map room outfit, I think the expression on the sculpt would work well for this display

On the new Sideshow Map Room Environment:

Sideshow Jaclyn: Ok, so I have confirmed that is the Hot Toys Indiana Jones figure

me: Okay thanks, I was just wondering if that was the original prototype or the revised end-product

Sideshow Jaclyn: Since that item is currently in production the figure in the photo is the prototype

Looks like we will have to wait a little longer for new pics :lol

The original timeline (judging by my FlexPay schedule when I pre-ordered several months back) would have put the release in late September. How long do these things take to produce I wonder?

Also, if Sideshow is using the original proto for these pictures, I wonder if they'll have a revised proto to show at the Con?

I was wondering the same thing. Chances are we'll only see the old proto at SDCC since the figure is actively in production.

It will be nice to see it in the flesh though.

It would be strange for them to show an unrevised head at such a major show only a month or so before release.

And this starts shipping next month (casefresh is rarely wrong.)

I hope next month is correct, I'm getting really excited about this figure. The sculpt could use some tweaking, which I'm sure we'll see, but the big thing for me that they really need to fix is the hat. Other than that, I wish the whip was wired to recreate the Richard Amsel poster.
