No offense, but i'm glad you're not in charge of this line. :lol

There's still a lot of figures to be produced that i would like to see.

Jay Garrick, Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, Reverse Flash, Johhny Quick, max mercury, Impulse, Mirror Master, Amazing man, Phantom Stranger, Freedom Fighters, Hawk and Dove, Catman, mxyptlk, Liberty belle, Isis, Fire and Ice, Doctor Polaris... just to name a few...

I never said I was nor would I want to be. Im just saying this line has met my DC wants/needs and Im done with this line.

So as far as Im concerned aside from a C&C Doomsday I couldnt care less what happens to this line. And by the looks of that most recent wave, it almost looks like MATTEL is trying to kill the line on purpose.

Everything he said PLUS

Huntress, Lady Blackhawk, Maxima, Commissioner Gordon, Secret Six (minus Deadshot), Bizzaro, Black Mask, Steel (updated), Mera, Ravager, Red Hood (Jason Todd), the rest of the Metal Men, Roy Harper, just to name a few more...

Since Croc, Scarecrow, and Freeze were part of the original BATMAN line, which begat DC Superheroes and then DCUC, I feel like we've gotten them.

I hope we get a new Croc before DCUC ends. The DCSH Croc is so outdated compared to the DCUC figures we're getting. The DCSH Croc is too small, has limited articulation. Can't even make the figure balance properly.

Roy Harper
As Speedy--the only primary remaining figure I need from DCUC. More important to me than the majority of guys you fellas mention are listing are the iconic, early Teen Titans. We've got a Flash and Robin. . .and that's it. No early Wonder Girl, no Aqualad, no Speedy, and no Kid Flash in the traditional red outfit either.

My wallet tells me, "Kill the line" but the DC collector in me says, "Go, Baby, go!" Fortunately, the DC collector has hold of all my credit cards.

I'm not really too happy when Mattel does the same characters with different costumes, which wave 17 is, but to get the Anti-Monitor just trumps all the negatives of that wave for me. I could sell the figures once I get the CNC but I'm not going t do that. And in wave 18 and 19, the Walmart 5 and the Legionare pack, only Hawkman is the figure I am unenthusiastic about. That ratio, of 1 in 30 figures, leaves me pretty happy for the rest of the year with DCUC.

The best Croc out there right now is the Secret Files figure from DC Direct.

Yeah this line has got major legs and major holes left to fill. The new Batman movie is just gonna intensify that and if GL does well, we are gonna see the battle for the 6" crown in the toy aisles like we thought would happen back when Hasbro took over ML. AND the fact that ML is coming back, is going to garner support and competition for this scale.
A new Croc is a must. That old one is as about DCUC as the ML Toad is a ML figure. Just totally not in line with the design philosophy of the line or the aesthetic. As far as I'm concerned, that Croc belongs in that Batman line that was the precursor to the DCSH.
I agree with all the noted characters missing from the collection as stated above. Lots of Batman to go, lots of Superman to go, lots of Legion, Titans, Doom Patrol, JSA, and so on and so forth...world to go! And it definitely aint over till THAT fat lady sings!!! GRANNY GOODNESS!!!!!!

Wow! LOve the fact that I won't have to pay out for another figure as a variant just to get the tiger head. Good One Mattel!

Unless the joint is crappy and the neck stalk snaps while you're doing the swap! :)

I'm assuming it depends on how deep they push it. We know they are going to make this new DCU the standard in the books but they've never said anything about merchandising.

My feelings about the reboot aside, the line is still DC Universe CLASSICS, so we might get a few new designs (craptacular ones at that) but I bet we'll still see a lot more established looks first. And DG Batman and Damian Robin still need to made, Mattel. Get on that before Grayson goes back to being Nightwing in Chris O'Donnell's Batman & Robin costume. Thanks.

Wave 17 has arrived!

I know a lot of folks weren't excited about this wave, and I kind of wasn't until I saw the first packaged/in hand pics. But they turned out very nice!

Thoughts in order of my favorites:

Scarecrow: the winner of the wave easily. The headsculpt, the hands, the poseability all screams coolness.

Atom: the sculpt and paint details are all very nice. The 'Indigo' color they chose is almost the exact same color as my indigo symbol tattoo, so that makes me dork out quite a bit.

Black/White Hal: they both pop visually. I'm a big fan of the metallic silver on the white, but the head is not what I would've thought a WL Hal should look like. The BL head, however, is awesome, which is why they're tied for third. Stuck torso on BL, which is a bummer but not a deal-breaker.

Luthor: The head is WAY too passive. Other than that, a nice figure. His right ankle joint snapped on the left side, but still moves and holds a pose, but I'm still ticked. The handle-less lantern is odd, but he cradles it nicely.

Wonder Woman: Nice that she's ALMOST the same size as wave 4 Diana, and the Violet lantern would be a more welcome accessory if Carol had an open left hand. As it is, they're posed together with the lantern at their feet. Paint is a little spotty--they forgot to paint all of her lower lip and there's some spots on the 'armor' where skin shows through. Still a nice variant.

Flash: REALLY nice deco. What stops him from being higher up on the list then, you say? The fact that we have THREE Barry figures and no Wally. But he is a very, very nice repaint, as far as those go.

Anti-Monitor: The cape SUCKS. It sucks. I'm trying to flatten it out, but it's not glued or anything and is easily removeable, so AM might just be displayed sans cape. All the details are nice, and the paint for his eyes and mouth (KIRBY CRACKLE! EEEE!!!) is fantastic. Size aside, an excellent CnC. Careful connecting the torso to the crotch, though; it took some excessive force to get it in there.

All in all, not a great wave, but a good one, IMHO. I hope the glaring oversights of the remaining leaders (Atrocitus and Larfleeze especially) and Mera (normal and Rl, please!) are fixed soon.

Dude, Entertainment Earth has a lot of the back waves and even some on clearance and marked down for non-mint packaging. And their base figure price is still like $16.99 for non sale/dinged items. You cant really beat that if you buy a bunch and have em shipped together. No real reason to be "catching up" unless you just are tight on cash. These things are all over the net!

Something interesting I forgot to mention a while ago, I was at a toy show here in Southern California and was able to see the boxes that wave 17 were being unpacked from. The interesting thing is that the Mattel boxes weren't marked "wave 17" Both Hal's were in a separate case marked "Red Mera". Is that just a generic box Mattel might have used?
