I don't know if I'm missing it or not but I can't find where it says they were leapfrogging.
ETA Ok I guess you said the newcast said it. I've seen some motorcycle cops do a leap frog maeuver before. I'm guessing it was part of the procession and not horsepjay. Either way your reason for posting this is not honorable.

As I said before, that part was said on TV last night, it was said by a female reporter for NBC I think. That is how I found out about it. I used a link to another news source for convenience.
There is no dishonor in informing people of the incompetence of police on motorcycles, because it warns them to be more careful around them so they are less likely to be hurt because of police incompetence. Some people are wayy too trusting of the police.

Well holy ____ the link you provided explains exactly what happened. No horseplay at all, just a tragic accident. This accident has nothing to do with the competance of the officers, just that an officer died paying tribute to another officer.

He died because the other cop or himself didn't know how to ride a motorcycle well enough, or they just wasn't paying attention to what they were doing. Totally preventable. Caused by carelessness. motor vehicle accidents, especially ones like this, don't just "happen" you know. They are caused by irresponsible operating of a vehicle. These people are cops, who give people tickets for irresponsible driving. Hypocritical behavior. Physician, heal thyself!
Perhaps you think it was noble for him to have died because of this carelessness. Human sacrifice, maybe? This event does not honor the officer who's funeral it was. It embarrasses the entire police department, and by extension, embarrasses the officer who already died. It is shameful.

Whether or not they were acting like idiots, it's still sad for a life to be lost. But let this be a lesson to the other man, and any other officer or person.

Were the horses okay?

No, Samara killed them all.

She never sleeps..

I was just in my local gun store talking with a couple uniformed cops about rifles. One was even nice enough to go out to his squad car and get his AR to show me how he had it customized.

It had that amazing plot twist where the cop wanted to show off his custom semi-automatic rifle.

You don't expect that from police. I gasped a little.

Yup this is a better and more interesting place when I'm around.
