Braces. Got them yesterday and I forgot how miserable chewing food can be. I had them 24 years ago. My teeth used to be horrible. I went from horrible to" normal", now I hope I am going from "normal" to "pretty". I should get them off in December.
The headaches have already started. .
Used to pay someone years ago, but each year his prices just got too high.
Plus, I prefer doing it myself.
As for a ride on mower thrifty, I couldn't do it. That ____ is lazy and I live in a neighborhood. I mean yeah, I have a big yard but we're not talking farm acres. I'd feel like a lazy _____ if I did it that way. Not to mention most of the time the ground is too wet, I have a feeling that that thing would get stuck and make a mess.
My problem isn't mowing or having to do it, like I said, it's enjoyable. The problem is the rate at which that damn grass grows.
If I had a small lawn, I'd do it by hand too, but there's just too much of it. It's bad enough trimming!
I thought about doing this a couple of years ago but it would cost me too much. I have a slight overlap of my front teeth and to completly straighten them would involve just too much. They would have to cut part of my teeth off then I'd have to wear braces.
Nah......
For me, it was taking way too long to do our small Chicago lawn. I had been mowing on the farm and as a side-business since I was 7, so I wanted everything done perfectly. With a kid on the way last year, my wife pushed to get a mowing crew, and got them to come down to $40/month (where others are paying $70-80), so I said we would try it for a year.
Long story short, we signed on again this year. It takes 3 guys 15min and they do it all, and a great job at that. Now it gives me back about an hour a week to spend with my family.
For that price, I would probably do it too.
If you have someone local, try to get an Invisalign consultation! Should be much cheaper than braces and works just as well, imo (I've had both now ). I had what sounds like a similar overlap in my front teeth and no cutting.
My dentist said if he would straighten and align my teeth together, they would gap at the top. My brother's are that way and I don't want mine like that. Plus my insurance is crappy so.....eh. Mine don't look bad now. I've got better looking teeth than most actresses.
Ah Braces - had them about 12 years ago. My teeth were very crooked. The braces did the job but unfortunately it hasn't lasted. While my teeth are nowhere near as bad as they were when I was younger they did still move back out of alignment. Guess I stopped wearing the retainer much too soon.
I hate my receded gums. Brushing too hard with the wrong toothbrushes and not going to the dentist for a professional cleaning in about 8 years has gradually taken a toll. Bit worried about the bottom incisors - the gum is very low there.
I wouldn't want the gap either, honestly.
Too bad he couldn't file them down, though, to take that away. They filed mine a little, but probably not to the extent you would need I take it.
I don't know. I just don't want to monkey with it really. I owe close to $1,000 for two caps as it is and that's with insurance.
I HATE that I need to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed.
