Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Haha I said the exact same thing in the previous thread. It's a little thing but it bothers me for the exact reason you said above.

It's not a little thing. He's a major figure in the Superman universe and it's just rude and ignorant not to take the time to spell his name correctly.

i'm glad i'm not the only one.

A shame we never got to see these poses. I know it's simple but I've always loved these shots.

oh man, if the cape is truly posable this would probably be the best landing pose.

agreed. i think it's disrespectful.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Heh, brings back memories of those shows...

Did u ever write to jim'll fix it ? if so what did u ask for?
and if u could now what would u now ask for ?

Back in 1978, I asked Jim if I could meet Superman (Christopher Reeve as he was then). Now, I'd have to kill myself to meet him as he's dead.

Yeesh. Chill out and don't take this so personally fellas. People mis-spell my last name all the time and I don't get all indignant about it.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah.

For years people have spelled my name "Defabio" instead of "DiFabio". While it's slightly annoying, I don't think much of it.

Reeve, Reeves, no big deal. I've actually made this mistake on here once and I knew it was wrong before someone pointed it out.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I enjoyed this interview. Reeve talks about all 4 Superman's.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

people, please! it's REEVE, not REEVES! if you're fan enough of the man to buy this figure, at least get his name right! hate to be that guy but this is a pet peeve of mine and i'm seeing it all over this board. kinda getting really annoying.

Ironically, it's coming from a lot of these "hardcore" Reeve fans doing the photoshops. :lol

Most, maybe all, of the changes I'm seeing in photoshop are so subtle as to be invisible and therefore fairly pointless IMO. I'm not attacking your right to think something is off, just I think ultimately the photoshops so far are only proving to everyone else how good the sculpt is right now.

If you're talking about Reeve, I would say he has a major place
within the Superman legacy/mythos, as oppose to "universe"
Yet he's one of may actors that has contributed to the Superman
legacy. I wouldn't necessarily call it rude or ignorant, it is a particularly common mistake though.

agreed. i think it's disrespectful.

Its a common mistake for people, particularly when typing it, but its
nothing to get so upset over as I'm sure some aren't doing it with the
purpose of being intentionally disrespectful.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

The only concern I have with this figure, is that he will be as tall as the rest of the HT figures. Superman stands about what... 6'4ish? The spec said the figure is about 30cm tall. That means he is the same height with the rest of the figures.

Probably as tall as Arnie.

Approximately 30 cm tall

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah, that is interesting. This could have changed to an open ended exclusive. It'd be good for a great cause. Anyone know if the foundation is promoting this as well?
