Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yeah, DX would've tacked on another $30-50, given us nothing else we really needed, and caused certain people to go on complaint tirades about price (which we've seen already and will see more of anyway, despite this probably costing around the same amount at T1 Terminator).

Hot Toys did the right thing, IMO.

Right there isn't much to add going the DX route because I would expect most folks want a Clark Figure by iteself. Then you've got the PERS addition which to be honest I don't know if thats a big enough deal to add that money on.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Nope.

Another MMS will follow of CK, possibly with an additional Supes head.

Then, at a stretch, Evil Superman after that.

After getting to much Superman Returns and CK versions i wont doubt that we will see them specially CK, just hope we get a Luthor or Zod

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

dont know if this has been posted, but does anyone see them making a dx with an extra clark kent get up? i just dont wont to preorder if the inevitable dx comes out and has more stuff. what do you guys think?

I hope so. I say buy this and wait for a DX. It would take a long time to see a DX if its even released.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I know exactly who it was directed at. I'm having a hard time coming up with how it's an insult to assume someone that teaches for a living knows the difference between those two words.

Man. We are pretty good eFriends. For you to stoop to that level is way beneath you. To take easy potshots at someone is a pretty lame way to debate a point. I could have said that "someone who writes for a living should know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'", would have been a petty point, and I could have made earlier in this thread, but chose not to. Until now.

Seriously. :lol

I really do not see why people are thinking a DX will follow.

The previous DX of other figures were only made after the 'DX Initiative' was started. If HT were going to DX this, they would have right now.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I think reason they didnt go with DX is because it would just be so massive and there already paying likeness rights to the Reeve estate and foundation. Along with Warner Bros and DC. So with inflation the DX could be the most expensive figure out.

But i think this one will sell awesome, hot toys will profit a great deal and mabey by the time the New Superman Film is released, Well get a DX Clark Kent & Superman, with all the bells and whistles.

If they did the Clark head and outfit, plus PERS, plus background and a couple of other features, I've gotta figure this could be more expensive than the Indy DX. I was going on the assumption that the DX would not have Kent parts. I think HT fully plans to milk this line with a separate Kent release, because many of us will buy it.

Zod, too. I would probably skip Lois and Hackman Luthor, though.

I kinda think the same thing.

It's getting pretty mixed reviews over on the HT FB page. I think everyone says they are gonna order it but that the sculpt is off a little. Hmm..

Which is where I think I lie with it too. I love it, but it's not a perfect CR sculpt. I will order 3 instead of 5..

I'm just thrilled that this is actually being released.

:)

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

You need to reread and perhaps digest exactly what I wrote:

Are we clear? This is the exact point everyone is making that you and a few others don't seem to be getting. The degree of analitude (a word I just coined myself) that a person would have to go to in order to argue and attempt to sway another person's opinion by altering a picture by expanding an eye by 0.0005% is taking what hyperbole actually means to entirely new level.

I don't think you understand what you're responding to. I think you cherry picked a quote out of context without reading any of the back posts in the matter. My original post was that hyperbole is being flung in here, someone said that their opinion wasn't hyperbole, I defined hyperbole. Has nothing to do with minutia or photoshops.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Goddamn he looks great!

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Some of those flight poses are great, it's just sad there wont be any way to actually display him that way with that flight stand...

I also think they should make the clamp on the stand clear like the rest of it.

Looks better and better the more pics we see...

I sure hope when we see the Keaton Batman he will look this good.

M.

that's one thing i don't understand about hot toys. why don't they make all the waist clips clear? the stand itself is clear, so why not the actual clip? it's a real eyesore when displaying figures.

It would I would think. If it wasn't I'd fall out of my chair. Agreed, I'd think they'd want to take as much advantage of this line as they possibly could. Then again HT has really only made one Tony Stark figure.

All in good fun kiddos, folks, and freaks. :blissy

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

And because you have a hard time understanding the definition and context of a word, you insult him based on his profession. :clap:clap:clap

I honestly don't have a clue what you're talking about. Nor did I insult anyone. Nor did I define anything wrong. You can try all you want, but perhaps it's best left for Kara to think and you to respond.:lecture
