Sculpt is nice. But since the rest of the HT figure is superior so far, it will be the one I purchase.

I'm not going to beat around the bush about this. HT won.
I still do like the cloth headband better, even if the color is off. Hair looks up to par... doubt they'll get the paint that way in production... EB hair paint is very flat.
Both figs look way better than the PF... and don't tell me I can't compare them, at 1/4 scale and being a statue, it should look more realistic and it does not even come close.

Head sculpt is the only thing I'd want from this but with Enterbay, you just never know what the final product will be like.

Sorry EnterBay, That is not Johnny Depp. That is Keith Richards, who Jack Sparrow is meant to be based on. So it IS Jack Sparrow.

Agreed, PF looks like garbage.
That head sculpt blows the HT's out of the water. The rest is'nt close.
It doesn't look bad IMO...the hair and bandanna look amazing (assuming product looks like proto).

That head sculpt sinks like a boulder in the ocean compared to HT's.
Judging by the PF of Jack you have in your sig I'd say you don't have a leg to stand on when talking about Jack's likeness.

Ok? I didn't say the PF head scupt is better I said the HT's is better... by a mile.
For my money, that sculpt isn't as good as HT. I guess I just don't know a good Jack when I see one, cause this doesn't stand out as Johnny Depp in my eyes. HT isn't perfect, but I easily see Depp in it. I have to look for him in this figure. Your mileage may vary though.
Man, what's with the PF hate? I bought my wife one for christmas and she loves it, and I really think they did well too. It has Sideshow paint quality, unfortunately. Other than that, I thought they nailed him.

I'm wondering how objective people are being when they say that HT head sculpt looks more like Depp than Enterbay. As a portrait artist who's done multiple Jacks and is more familiar with his face than I care to be, Enterbay hs captures Depp's likeness much better than HT. On the other hand, it could possibly be the paint job. Enterbay's has a much tanner skin tone (as it should have), where as HT's appears almost fair with freckles. Something as simple as that might really change the look of the hs, just like Enterbay's would be helped by adding kohl to the eyes.
But I do wonder if people are really taking a good look at the head sculpts and comparing them to photos or if it's just a HT thing.

I haven't preordered the Hot Toys Jack and I think that my opinion is less biased compared to someone who has....
I think this figure might hold up well against the HT version.
Agreed, that head sculpt is great.
A few things that were thrown around earlier:
The head band is suppose to be real fabric. Is that still true?
The beads hanging from the bandana are suppose to be individual beads. Not sculpted. Is that still true?
Are there any metal parts? (belt buckles, pistols, etc.)
Items with more details compared to the DX:
Shrunken head;
Sword's handle;
Hands are more textured and is a closer match to face color (DX hands look too smooth).
I'm still going to reserve judgment until we learn more about this Enterbay Jack, but it looks like it has a good chance to compete if the production version stays close to the prototype.

My bet is most (if not all) people hating on it don't actually own the statue. It doesn't take a genius to see that the sculpt and paint are not up to par with the 1/6 versions. But there is no denying that when I look at the piece, I see a solid sculpt topping off a fantastic representation of the character. And at $300 in 1/4 scale, I feel like I got my money's worth.
