It's been so long since I've posted on the boards! But thought I'd clear up the whole shipping discussion as it pertains to the Hot Toys Superman.

We are offering free domestic shipping and discounted international shipping on that piece when it goes up for pre-order. You will not have to purchase another product with it to get the shipping deal.

I realize the current Hot Toys page on our site states the 'in-stock' requirement, but we had to start somewhere..

I have a complain. This HT Superman is gay!!! His index finger is longer than his ring finger (cookie for people who understand this).

I demand that HT make him straight and a real man of STEEL!!!

Just out of curiosity, what is the total % Californians pay? The one thing us Albertans are fortunate about is we pay a total of 5% whereas other provinces are up to 16%.

Unfortunately, while the state standard is 8.25%, it depends on the city as that can be higher.

I never could understand how the filming degrades so badly as the years went on to 87. It was so obvious how bad the filming was that it was just guys in front of screens. It didn't even blend.

The first movie went way over budget and past schedule because director Richard Donner kept rejecting bad shots, insisting they get everything right. That's one of the reason the producers fired him before he could finish part 2. Richard Lester finished part 2 and did the entire part 3 and was not that picky about the quality of the shots. He finished the movies on time and within the budget. Part 4 was a different story. It was produced by a new studio who was on the verge of going bankrupt. They stole half of the money WB gave them for the budget and funneled it to other films on their way into insolvency. They also put the money they did have into getting back the original cast, thinking that would sell the movie. But then they hired the absolute cheapest, bargain-basement behind-the-scenes crew to do the special effects and post-production to try and save money.

Plus another great thing that Superman IV suffered like Aliens, when Superman went up to get that woman. Kind of funny that, gravity and no gravity in the same space. She falls in space while Nuclear Man floats. Hollywood magic at it's best.

I think the script originally called for that scene to have a backdrop of the Grand Canyon. But due to the budget problems they couldn't get those shots and pasted in a generic space backdrop.

Yeah that does take a chunk. Still you guys have an awesome rate with USPS. I'd pay almost double for the same service up here (one HT's figure for example)
