I just sent the question to Ask Sideshow about it, let's see if they have the guts to put it up on the site in the coming months >_>

Just so you're aware, Ripley is not a good case for likeness arguments, the Ripley had to look off, Sideshow and Hot Toys could not get Weaver's likeness for their Ripley products.

yea i'm aware of that and after posting it i realized that's a bad example, my bad

i've turned down more HT because of likeness issues vs PFs
so my preference is definitely with the PFs

If they could do it so you could put like AA batteries in the base, great, but if they had to do it so all the electronics were in his head, then you're dealing with watch batteries that wouldn't last very long. At this point they're committed to the price so if they add it, it won't cost us anything so I have no issues with them adding the feature. When a product hasn't been priced yet, I lean towards not using electronics most of the time because often, the power sources mean you can't have it on for long periods, and ommitting it could lower the price which I also favor.

Okay, just got some more work lined up. I'll be keeping mine. :) :rock

Given the pose of his head and the definition of the neck muscles, I think the lip slant actually helps to sell the sculpt as a person actually twisting their head in an extreme way. Often sculpts don't work for poses because the expressions don't match what you often see people looking like in those poses, the tilt feels appropriate here and makes it all work, I think a more cold expression like HT's portraits would look forced and out of place with this pose.

The head sculpt is not too bad but now the bar has been set very high by HT. We have seen better ones in the market.

This is whats bad

1. There is no mullet

2. Pant color are horrible

3. where is the design on the grey navy shirt?

and this is why they settle because people are going to buy it anyways. such a sad world

Sorry Hellz, but ain't no action figure or statue I've seen completely flawless. You understand there are flaws and you either accept them or you don't based on your subjective likeness threshold requirement. If you are going to bemoan the state of the world because people accept statue and toy representations of film characters that aren't 100% pitch-perfect, then I'm afraid that the world is already necessarily, and hopelessly, lost. . . :panic:

Avoiding this. Not enough battle damage together with the likeness issue and non-light up (which seems like a no brainer) made this an easy pass.

terrible likeness IMHO

This is not Terminator 1, sculpt looks very wrong.
Sry.

Looks NOTHING like the guy! Easy pass!

Doesn't look a damn thing like him.

After reading lots and lots of complaints, now that we have pre ordered, it all sounds like this.....
