Loved "movies" as a kid using the Viewmaster and Viewmaster Projector!

I never had Bionic Six toys, but the cartoon was very memorable from mornings before I went to school. As was Defenders of the Earth (which again had toys that I never collected). Both had great theme songs.

Anybody remember the blue/orange alien who looked sort of like a human on one side of his body, but like a complete monster on the other side? You could twist his torso around, and flip a switch on his waist, and he would "transform" from one to the other. I can't remember what he was called, but there were lots of memorable ads for them in mid-80s comics.

That sounds familiar but I can't think of it. It did make me remember Super Naturals though. These guys had the holographic bodies and faces.

This thread is pure win, i never had any brothers or sisters so my room was filled with most of the items listed here.... now i gotta track em all back down, thank god for the interwebs!

Man this is one of the best threads I've seen in a while. I'd forgotten how kick arse toys were in the 80s and early 90s. Do any of you remember Dino riders and the bionic six.
They were pretty cool toys as well.

I have a bunch of Dino Riders. They were fantastic back in the day. Wish toys were half as cool as they were.

While I never was much into Transformers, I did get on the Beast Wars bandwagon. Loved the show and toys.

Man, THE LOST WORLD came out in 1997. I was 25. There are some kids in here making me feel pretty old. :lol

If there's a batmobile, there must be a "wing" in the sky,

<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/60404093@N06/5601750007/" title="The Dark Knight - Batwing by ah_t00t's Toy Collection, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm6.static.flickr.com/5262/5601750007_a7ac0c62b3_b.jpg" width="1024" height="768" alt="The Dark Knight - Batwing"></a>

I had this, the wings could detach and it ad a nandle on the bottom with a trigger to use the scissor things at the front to grab figures.

A good friend of mine had that, and I was jealous of him for it since I never did. Weird redneck GI Joe driver, too. Not sure what the Hasbro creative team was thinking when they came up with Cross Country. But then, this was 1986--i.e., the beginning of the end. I still liked (and like) the figure, though.

I def remember these. What exactly did we do with these, just collect? :lol
You could actually "flip" them using a large plastic guitar-pick looking thing, if memory serves. Not sure why, though :lol

I really like this thread, brings back a lot of memories. I hope someone knows what this toy is that Im about to describe. It was like a king kong gorilla type toy with hair and I believe his mouth was open. I remember having one with blue hair and I also had a sabertooth type monster from the same line. They were about 5 to 6 inches. It sorta looked like this figure from Congo (which I also owned at one time)but it had hair....

The toy you are thinking of is Power Lords... and the main character you're talking about is Adam Power :rock I have him in this picture and next to him is the bad guy of the series Lord Arkus.

Ah, thanks. That's him. Freaky looking toy, from a period of time where that was something little boys would actually want to buy. Here's the comic book ad I was referring to:

I can hear the guy from all those 80s toy commercials reading that ad :lol

I have both of those. I even have the vinyl case for the projector.

Wow, the case as well?!?! :thud:
Do you still fire the projector up every so often?

I found both of these at the p's house over the weekend and can't wait to see if it still works.
I may try to do a side-by-side with my panny pj. :lol
