Ok, so this is the deal.........

apearently, the swords are being made from the mold/exact specs as the movie version(I'm guessing this person worked for the design company that did the sword ), the details(bunny, cherries, and 'etchings') are all being made to full 100% movie accuracy. They'll be sending me pics of the actual sword in May, and I've already got one on PO(they just require your e-mail and have a good "if you don't like it, no worries" cancellation policy).

So, once again I'm/we're left with more waiting I can't wait to see the pics, I'll post them here once I get them.

hmm... coming back into this thread i cant help but be reminded that someone here said a long time ago sucker punch looks better than the matrix. he was so sure of it, we even got into a debate about it.

and yet another someone, a pr person, boasted that he's seen "90%" of the film way before everyone else here, and that the film looks cool.

well, the film is officially a boring piece of crap. and i wonder what those 2 would think now. and no... i dont gloat. but sometime when people are wrong they have to be reminded that they're wrong, so they'd learn a thing or two, and not be so full of hot air the next time. a little humility always does us good.

Everyone that frequents this thread(and the HT one) all love the movie, in fact for me personally it's in my top 5.

I do understand/agree with your "Humility does us all good" comment though, so kudos for that.

i have this rule about collecting movie stuffs: 1/6 is a okay for subpar r crap films, but 1/4 is reserved only for cool films. so... i already pre-ordered baby doll and sweet pea. cant cancel them, dont think i even want to if i could. they do look cool regardless of the film. but now if i put them on display, i'd be reminded of the crappy film everytime i look at them. so... i dont what to feel about these statues now.

anyone else feels the same?

no, not everyone here loves the film. and you dont have to, to want to hang out in this thread. after all, you can hate the film and still love the figs.

I'm saying that the majority of people in this thread enjoyed the film(I think anyways), (love the film is a pretty strong assumption) but yeah, there's plenty of movies I didn't like but yet I loved the figures.

Exactly, I mean there's plenty of boardies who missed out on Baby Doll that would really like to get her, so why not help them out, instead of complaining about how crappy the movie is, and yadda, yadda

i think they'll be easy enough to come by upon release date. that's what i think anyway. hope you could get your hands on them. cool looking statues regardless.

I have a similar rule but it is slightly different. I reserve 1/6 for things I like or am generally into which span many different licenses, companies, etc. BUT 1/4 for me is based on awesome designs. I've passed on many 1/4 pieces of characters I love because the design didn't really appeal to me. Something about Baby Doll, not only the way she is dressed but also about the way she looks and the way she is posed, the weaponry, etc is very awesome and kind oozes that sexual mix that a lot of the female SSC attempts go for naturally whereas some of the other attempts are really forced.

Amber kind of has that but her design isn't that appealing and Sweet Pea I really think they went left on. I'll be content with just Baby Doll but I understand where you are coming from.
