Just saw this movie for the first time... it wasn't bad at all. Especially if you know what kind of movie to expect. I was expecting Commando/Rambo/Late 80's action flick and that's what I got.

Glad I have me a barney. :p

I hope they make a few more too, though I guess it depends on how well Barney Sells.

I'm holding on to a little bit of hope since someone posted an article where they mentioned doing Statham and Lee's characters.

Don't hold your breath,i think the Expendables line is over.

I said it from the very start,if we don't see either Statham or Li close to the Barney release we won't EVER see them, with a movie like this they should have capitalized on the Hype which they didn't.

If they announced the Statham and Li figure a month or two after Barney people would actually buy them because of the hype, but right now few seem to care.

The figure sold out however, unlike the Watchmen or platoon lines. I think that bodes well... we might get one more (a landa-esque release way after the origin of the line)

Well, that Barney sold out shows the interest in Stallone figures in general, not neccesserily Expendables,so not sure that's the best reason why they should make a Statham really.
We haven't gotten a Sly figure since Rocky 3 so Stallone fans have been starving for a long time.

It is a strange situation, Statham at the least would sell well between his movie character and his other roles I would think. Stallone does have huge selling power himself though, and as we've seen with Barney, there's no need to make other figures to sell him. For the most part, you could probably sell any Sly character by itself with no one else from the movies. Sure it's nice to have Rocky's opponents, but people who buy Rocky would do it whether it was just him or not, same with Rambo or Barney or any of his other roles. Most of the time, ly is THE character in his movies, it's rare that any other character is as dominant a presence as him, so if you're into his movies, you're happy enough with him alone.

Well said, Sean! :clap I myself, started out as just a Rambo fan. When I completed watching the Quadrilogy, I started getting interested in his other movies. That's how good Sly is. :duff
One of my favorites are Get Carter and Copland! :clap

There are those fans who are so engrossed in his films that they'll want the extra characters too, but to the mass fandom, Sly alone is good enough.

As much as I have interest in the extra characters of Rambo, Rocky and Expendables, I could easily live with just Sly figures, and for the most part I do. I have 4 Rambos and 1 Trautman, just 1 Rocky, and I have Barney and Christmas. I'd have lived without Trautman or Christmas though, but I had opportunities to easily add them so I did.

I can't think of any Sly role/movie I'd want a Sly figure from where I would have to have the other characters from except Assassin, I really like that movie and the character, but what would draw me to buy figures is to have Sly and Bandera. I would buy a Demolition Man without Simon Phoenix though. I enjoy the characters in Sly's movies, but there really haven't been too many where I feel a want for figures of them like Sly's character. Sly himself admits that about his past movies, or even Arnie's and those guys, in the 80's, action films were very focused on 1 guy, no matter how many characters in the movie. The style of Expendables was a classic action film, but the spotlight was split between Stallone and Statham, and the end battle was really well split among all the guys, I don't think any one team member got much more screen time than the others, where in the past, it would be all Sly or Statham. Even Rambo 4 was like that, the final battle mixed in all of the mercenaries and the Karen troops and Rambo, it wasn't focused on any one character.

Smug collectors all got their Barney Ross figures and talking about Stallone films. :lol

VERY underrated film imo. In terms of "Sly" movies anyway. I love that movie.

Awesome movie, I went into it just in awe of seeing a fat Stallone and curious to see the movie he was willing to do that for, but what I got was very entertaining. Writers did a real good job with it, and man, what a cast. It was almost an Expendables in a way, but instead of a mix of action guys, it was just a mix of some of Hollywood's best. There was a Terminator in it even.

All this talk about his movies reminds me i need to see a few movies i haven't seen yet:
-Assassins
-F.I.S.T
-Nighthawks
-Paradise Alley(He made his own song that he even sings during the opening scene):lol

Damn staright! Actually imo Robert Patrick was the most entertaining plus I love Keitel and Liota so that was the kicker for me. Very well made film imo. Freddy had a little Rocky in him in certain scenes.
