Saw this at SHOT last week. Retail is supposed to be $880 and it's definitely on my to-buy list. I like the dual 7-shell tubes, selectable by a switch so you can have shot/slugs loaded if so-desired.

Kel Tec is sketchy, so I will wait till they get the bugs out; but it will be in my home eventually. :lecture

HOLY ____ THAT'S AWESOME!!! I definitely want me one of those for the house protection.

Seems like a fun piece....^

On my personal search I'm still deciding exactly on what to get... 99% sure I still want the Mossberg 590A1, but that damn 1%....:gah: I actually got the chance to handle a couple today and it's very solid. I really like the weight and feel of it. slide lock and safety are very well placed.

I did check out a benelli supernova the other day and while a nice gun from what I've read, it felt light and plasticey in hand. decisions decisions...... funny part is I've also been researching revolvers and getting a membership to a gun range....:lol

Nothing wrong with range memberships. This lead to me shooting guns that I would've otherwise never had the opportunity to do so. I got to shoot a couple rounds from a S&W 500 when someone at the range was there blowing my eardrums out with it. I was there with my AR15 and Eotech, and the guy said he never used one (eotech) before. He suggested a fair trade.

I've been before with a friend.. had my way with quite a few hand guns.. even the .44 Mag......:yess:

I've been putting off getting a few firearms for awhile. always looked forward to visiting family in the "country" so I could go shooting. now I'm finally at a point where I feel I can carry the responsibility of owning a few.

.... my "lol" wasn't a jab at joining but a laugh at the direction...

Looks like my next duty station will be in Cali. Gun laws are pretty tight there from what I gather. Any words of advice from current residents?

Pendleton? 29 Palms?

Stock up on ammo as the gun grabbers are rabid right now. If they can't take your guns, they'll do the next best thing, take your ammo.

Also check out this site:

www.calguns.net

Great resource for Cali gun owners.

check with your Duty station Armory ,You can check in your weapons on Base and check them out when you want to go shoot, they will have to stay in the Armory on base,
you will need to get the proper Paperwork talk to the brass in your unit .
they can tell you what hoops to jump through or just get the Number to the Armory and ask to speak to the Commander, he can also tell you what is what on the paper work and the laws of bring your weapons.
This was GTG at Fort Knox But you had to get your Capt to Sign off on it

Thanks for the response. I am familiar with the processes on most installations. I am more concerned with the Cali state laws. Seems there are a lot of weapon types that are a "no go" there.

I'm looking at picking up a good rifle...any comments on Bushmasters? I'm not looking at high end for this purchase but a good rifle for a good price that I can add accessories to. Looking at this one since it has a lot of the add-ons I want already on it and seems to be a good price.

Those look like pretty good prices. If I could do it all over again I think I would try to build one. Can't help to think that I would have saved money as I've replaced a lot of my stock Bushmaster with aftermarket parts.
