So I just got around to opening mine, and I know about the weathering on him, but mine has some small scratch marks on the faceplate. I don't see these in anyone's photos.
mine had what looked like a scratch mark right between the eyes but i just scratched it right off. perhaps it's the same with yours.
I tried that, but these look like actual scratches in the paint. I'd hate to return it for something so minor, but they are noticeable.

If you're not kidding, look again.
The last one especially shows the "scratches" on the chest. They are an intentional paint ap. They go a long way in adding to the realism.
I'm not talking about all the ones on the body. I know those are supposed to be there, it's a nice detai. Mine are right on the faceplate and they look like actual scratches. I'll take some pics in a little while. And they're not in those pics you just posted.

! Jokes aside, that would suck if there is a scratch there..Ah, I see. My bad.
Sorry to here that.
If they're bad enough perhaps a replacement head is in order.

They're small but noticeable. Actually this pic sort of washes them out a little. Does anyone else have marks like this?

Yeah, I'm almost thinking I should just get some gold paint and retouch it myself, but I'm not sure how that would look. It seems like a hassle to try and get a replacement for such a minor thing. A minor but noticeable thing.

That's it, right there. If these marks were anywhere else on the body I'd be fine with it. I think HT did a great job on the weathering overall. It adds a nice sense of realism to the figure. But the face...
And in person they stand out like a sore thumb. I noticed them almost immediately when I took it out of the box. Btw, scratches aside, this figure is incredible looking. Definitely worth having in your collection.
buy a head on ebay and call it a day

I'd do something about it, Batty... It's going to bug the crap out of you otherwise. Can you contact the seller?

Definitly get a replacement. Not only is it scratched, but the paint aps on the mouth are pretty poor. Should be a solid black line and you have the gold bleeding into it. If Hot Toys is willing, just put the RDJ headsculpt on while you wait for the replacement.

It's like that annoying bird in the morning that you pretend you don't hear while trying to stay asleep. Soon you realize you're actually laying their waiting to hear it again.

^You maybe able to justify to HT's CS for a new head to be sent to you. You may have to destroy the head though or not (In a way get an additional minor BD head for free)
