MJ has a many different looks... having a shelf full of MJs is less boring than a shelf full of suited armor with minor variations imo.

I agree, but I prefer (and can afford only) having just one figure, so I chose beat it, as its my all time favorite song.

The figure is obviously not worth 250+ but the sculpt is great IMO, and so is everything else. Like i said it's a basic figure, but a damn good one! Glad to own it.

It'll be worth heaps. As soon as it's no longer available I can't see many collectors offloading it - this one will be a keeper. As such the price he'll go for down the road will reflect this exclusivity.

I still scratch my head over the whole 'Tenth Anniversary Exclusives' scam. What a marketing masterstroke by Hot Toys, releasing 3 decent figures - not mind-blowing, and scantily accessorised at that - slap an 'exclusive tag on them, restrict their distribution and charge a motzah.

By making the figures a part of an existing line it ensures that the completists will be first in line to snag them at a price they normally wouldn't dream of paying for what they are in fact getting.

I know this has all been said. I'm just relieved that I can easily pass on these - if I were an MJ fan I'd be mightily jacked off.

Nah... won't hit 210... I've seen it hit around $240 shipped a few weeks back... but now it's shooting back up to $300 in a really short time.

The Batman + Scarecrow is steadily rising back up too...

I've been checking the 'bay daily to watch the trend.

There are still a few (four at the moment) different sellers each with BiN for $250 - 260 shipped, with multiples in stock. If they stay up, and other people continue listing it at $1, logically you'd think it would go down, that people wouldn't bid higher than these BiNs are and so with that you'd figure the price wont truly be increasing until those BiN listings disappear... People are retarded though and so who knows.

Amiami still also have a pretty big amount in stock (21) at $250 before shipping, so there's that to keep in mind too.

I was thinking of buying this figure but I've kind of got my 'fix' now from looking at pictures, I don't really feel a real desire to own it anymore, particularly since we're expecting other Jackson releases down the line. I'm interested in where the price goes though and what happens there, that I think is an intriguing situation. It's like betting on horses.

The market for this guy is still fluctuating unpredictably... In the beginning, it seems like the figure will never sell out (I remember BBTS getting like two stocks of 100+ DX bats... taking a few months to disappear). I wonder what the status will be a month from now.

EDIT: Whoa, just saw BBTS put up pre-order for this guy... looks like only 4 left though. And $300.

I agree same order Beat it is the best. And the reason i finally broke down and got an MJ figure.

The Figure is very nice but yes the sculpt is nothing overwhelming,the sculpt is very similar to Thriller,just no smile.

I used a pic from the Thriller thread and from this thread...i really can't agree with you here

If anything, it looks more similar to the very first 'serious looking' sculpt of Thriller.

Sadly I've passed on it. I wanted it to complete this line. Decided to put the money on better collectibles. I simply wont tolerate just short of £200 for a figure with a few spare hands.
