At that price, I'm out no matter what improvements they make. I guess I've been priced out of this hobby. I just can't bring myself to pay that much.

Hey guys,
I did a Photoshop Manip,
let me know what you think...

Especially for mass-produced (not strictly speaking) pieces like this one ultimately is. Art figures that exist in relatively low numbers seem to be the exception, though they usually end up costing upwards of $500 and up.

BUT I get the feeling that what we see right now, is what we're going to get, which is too bad. It's also too bad that it will actually sell. When confronted the reality that the number of high quality Indy collectables out there is relatively small, and the fans are left with no choice but to buy. The Indy curse lives on.

My PO is still in at 219.99. :yess:

That probably won't last... good luck though :duff

And I'm not worried about $250 being a new precedent price... the Jill Valentine figure also went up this week and is $150. And for those keeping score that's the same price as the Sheva figure from over a year ago.

You always have the choice of NOT buying... :dunno

I'll have to pass for now. Maybe once I start seeing some in-hand pics I might change my mind. But I definitely won't order through Sideshow at full price.

It really is a shame. After all the bashing the Sideshow Indy took and many hoping and wishing that HT would take over the license, THIS is what we get. At least Sideshow's had a perfect sculpt and only cost $90. For two-and-three-quarters times the price, HT's really should be better.

Really... I've gotten "we're sorry" messages from them in the past and have been SOL.

Either way... 15 bucks isn't the deal breaker. The figure, on the other hand, is. Like I said earlier, I doubt enough will improve to make me want to fork out 220-250 for this but I'll keep my order in place with the hope that I'll want it come 3rd qtr. :(

Agreed. This is what many have argued in all the Hot Toys should do this from Sideshow debates, particularly LFL licenses, that it's LFL means you'll likely pay more for a figure of equivalent quality to one in another license. While this Indy is pretty extensive, in a non-LFL license, this would probably be closer to the $200 range. The property is as much a factor in the prices. Look at the T1 T-800, you get nothing more really in the box than the T-1000, in fact, less, and yet, the T-800 is more, but, it's also a film that has had little official, authentic merchandise made from it, so they have you buy the balls and can charge more because they know you'll give in. LFL licenses are cash cows so they charge as much as they can and people usually pay.

I don't expect every figure to cost this much, I still think the $135-$175 range is the norm for HT figures.

Woah, Fairly tiny changes but a big, big difference. I can't believe how much more that looks like Ford !

Great!!

Looking better!

The thing about Harrison is he has quite a big nose and a large head.

I can sometimes see Harrison.

But i can't help but thinking it looks like some guy who has dressed up as Indiana jones and is on his way to Comic con.

With a brand new leather jacket, new shoes, cheap ass whip and wrong coloured belts??

I want to like this figure but finding it hard.

And what's with all these extras ?? I'm sick of it !!

Just put the extra money into getting the figure right!!
