Mine just arrived, but unfortunately I'm at work :( I was able to sneak a peak through the window however, man this thing looks impressive, even in the unflattering box pose.

Now that would make for a nice family photo. Please share those pics.:grouphug

We will see what can do for ya on that one. :hi5:

I'm happy to see that HT is not content with their current techniques and continue to improve their designs, especially in the articulations department. Think about it...the Mk.IV shoulder/waist/hip joints look a lot cleaner (less noticeable gaps) and yet it is also more flexible and poseable than the Mk.III.:clap

Thats one of the coolest things is that the level of change in the figures over just a short time. You can pull off some poses if you so choose with the Mark IV that some of us would love to have pulled off with the Mark III.

Very cool line-up.
One thing I wish I had was a diorama or a case that would house each Amor in a chamber next to each other. That way you could display Mk.I, II, III, and IV just like in the movie.

Thank you for sharing those pics. :rock

Thanks man

Yeah I'm planning to build the hall of armor once I got all of the base
I got a shipment of another base today

So if SS has started shipping, why does it still say "preorder" on their website?

So the actual figure is $199, how much was shipping for people who ordered in the states? $Total?

Well, some of us took advantage of them getting it in early or a few early anyways. I don't think its supposed to start shipping until the 21st.

i dont see why you couldnt cut down on the shipping time and cost by simply bringing it in yourself, in a box addressed to the same place they tell you to ship it to. they wont deny it JUST because it isnt postmarked, should be fine, and you could get it there right away, just drop it off like the postman would.

good luck with your fix!

Thanks Bishart. Yeah well see what they say. Unfortunately the returns dept is closed.

Haven't received shipping notice yet from CSC. Argh...I'm way too hype on this figure. I may have to wait until next week for him. Anyone else get a shipping notice?

Just received mine and while the paint and proportions are very nice, I'm not too happy about these issues:

1. fairly loose ankle joints, tips over easily.
2. left back airflap fits in crooked, which prevents it from sitting flush with the body.
3. left counter dispenser keeps popping out. right one is fine.
4. head pops off way to easily, loose neck to body ball joint.
5. "wax" residue left on alot of body panels, wipes off fine though.

Here's the similarities/differences on mine, which I received via SSC yesterday:

1. Mine seem pretty tight, I guess, but I wouldn't feel comfortable displaying the figure without one of the bases, anyways.
2. My flaps are the same, neither sit truly flush, but I'm okay with overlooking that.
3. Me too! the round part stays pushed in well, but the little 'spike' thingys pop out constantly!
4. The helmet comes off easily, which I don't mind, but putting the Stark head on is a pain. It's a very tight fit.
5. I haven't experienced this.

Also, every time I position the right arm close to the body, the repulsor gets switched on. No big deal, but a little frustrating.

And my repulsors seem a little dim. I haven't tried messing with the batteries, but I'm slightly surprised by both how dim they are, and how much of a red/purple tint they have to them. Maybe I'm just a bit spoiled by how BRIGHT the chest and eye LEDs are.

Pineapple,
Sorry to hear about those issues.
If it's any consolation, I don't think any of the air brakes/spoilers on previous HT Iron Man figures sit flush against the body. I know, it's shameful especially on a product that costs this much. I was hoping this would be addressed. I mean, is it difficult or wrong to create a notch and small dome along the edge of the spoilers so that they "snap" into place? That would certainly hold it down when closed and it wouldn't be difficult to open either.

The missile countermeasures on the hips do pop out a lot on the Mk.III BD when positioning the legs, usually if you pull the legs up too high or if you accidentally press against it with one of your fingers. However, if they seem to pop out with no apparent reason (which is what your post suggests) then that is certainly a problem.

The wax residue is something new, at least to me. None of my HT have that. I've never heard of such a complaint. Strange. I wonder what that's from and why would it be packaged that way?

Also, have you noticed the plastic mold/anomaly on the back of the neck? To clarify, it appears to be a plastic piece that was not sanded down or "smooth" like the rest of the panels.

I pasted this pic courtesy of Rubio95 so that you can see the neck mold:

I have similar issues with mine i got today...

1. I haven't really noticed the ankle joints, i always display my HT figures on some kind of stand, my floor is a little uneven when walking by and wouldn't risk them falling and braking.
2. Exactly the same on mine, they don't seem straight and it seems the metal bit is what's keeping it from flattening against his back, not a big issue for me as I'll nearly always have hims posed facing front.
3. The left leg one pops out when ever i move him, but once i get him into the pose i like it'll stay.
4. This happens when i try and push the head back for a flying pose, which i still can't get. i was hoping to get a good flying pose out of this guy too :(
5. Haven't noticed any of this.

6. Can't get him into the ground pound posing without popping off the leg, and even in the pose the leg wont stay on, so have to leave that pose (which was No. 1 on my list of poses).

7.The LED in the eyes needs to be replaced if i turn it on after leaving it a while then it's bright for a minute or so but the dims to almost nothing, most hands are fine but the articulated hands tend to have a red bit somewhat blocking the light-piping than the others.

Thing is i love this figure it is one of the pride of my collection and the best Iron Man Armour to date and with the amount of detail and engineering going into this quality of Figure, it would be very hard to have everything perfect on him

Weak batteries rather than problem with LED....

Yeah first 3 are from CSC 501st was from play.com on offer and jumped up £30 the next day the other 2 were off ebay USA which mean i paid alot less than the uk shop price over here .
Its mostly because of this forum and the good words most have put about them i thought it was worth the risk there was a vader and blackhole trooper i wanted to bid on but just dont have the room in the suitcases lol :)
