Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

I don't think this figure uses a rubber body although I may be wrong. I saw it on display at the recent STGCC and the body certainly look to be made of plastic to me.

The "broken" and "uneven" lines on the body bothers me a fair bit. I believe that this is a prototype issue and that the final product will not have this problem. I am now eagerly awaiting in-hand pictures of the final product.

No need to worry - there is no way that the parting lines will be that poorly toleranced come final assembly.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

My question now is, would the figure fall apart like that with time? I keep mine displayed and pose them ocassionally and until now, they are all fine. The only one with a rubber body is T2 Arnold. I would be very angry if in 1 year, those lines started appearing on the figure.

No need to worry. This figure doesnt even use a rubber body and besides, its just the prototype with the visible "lines" at the side of the body...plenty of other HTs prototypes ive seen were the same.
Some even had different coloured body parts too.
It all gets sorted out in the end.
Remember, its just a prototype - these kind of things are to be expected.
Nothing to worry about at all.

Sorry..But I'am not agree...

The torso part IS MADE OF RUBBER, (layer) like other figures like Royce, T800, Wolverine, Comedian.. maybe, not exactly the same rubber than the old HT rubbered bodies.. But ____ing deteriorating rubber over time, after all.
Arms are made of PVC.. but this material is more deteriorating than plastic or ABS (regular TT)

However I'm agree with this:
its just the prototype with the visible "lines" at the side of the body...plenty of other HTs prototypes ive seen were the same.

The final or retailer version will not have those issues mentioned (visible lines or different color)

Sorry, I didnt know.
I thought it was plastic.

I initially thought the same thing dude, but if you look carefully, that "torso layer" is covering part of the shoulders .. and if it were plastic (instead rubber), that joint would be pretty limited..:lecture

Besides.. all the HT new rubbered bodies has a rubbered layer covering the torso frame. :monkey3

Well, thanks for the opinions guys. It would just suck if the bodies began to come apart like that. I'm still getting it, though.

Alright, I just jumped on the pre-order for this guy. But I want two Bruce Lee's displayed, so Hot Toys better offer a solution to this problem. I don't want to have to pay $60 for a parted out body. Hopefully the Enterbay body will work well enough and require no modifications.

That's why I ordered from SS, second Bruce body. Two BL figures for 220, pretty awesome deal imo.

You could always get a trutype to display him clothed. Won't cost more than $15 (if you get just the body with no feet, hands, or head).

I also POd the SS Exclisive. A non-BD body is a must for this fig. With just the blue pants and the black shoes and the regular HS, you got one of the most iconic looks for Bruce.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Well... I caved and pre-ordered a nude BL body. This has just become the most expensive figure I have ever bought. The only upside is that I should have all the pieces to make 2 of my favorite Bruce Lee looks. I just can't stand having almost all the pieces to make a second figure sitting in the box. Damn you Hot Toys.

You wont regret it. But, did you order an Enterbay BL body? If you did, hope you know how to mod it to fit the head.

Nope. I ordered a loose Bruce Lee DX body for piece of mind. If this was any other figure, I would have tried using a generic truetype. But because the skin suit is so form fitting, I would rather not stress about if the figure will look right or if everything will fit. I also wont have to go hunting for one later with everybody else once the figure finally ships.
All I have to do now is sit and wait till the figure is released.
Thanks for your reply by the way.

Unfortunately being in India, where to get NECA you gotta order from Amazon or BBTS, I preordered my HT from the thai private collector from whom I get my 1/6ths, and it was too late for him to get me that special version.

:dunno

Where did you order that DX body from? It would be nice to get another one and get a GOD suit. Would have to get another head though.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Every now and then I check out the price of Enterbay's BL parted out items. I notice that head sculpts are being offered at around half the price they were a few months back. That's competition for you :)

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

If the Hot Toys figure ends up with an equal or better likeness than the Enterbay ones, the figures will be even cheaper I guess.

I would like to know where you preordered a Hot Toys nude Bruce Lee body too, don;t see it on ebay or any online stores.

Re: Hot Toys's DX04 - Enter the Dragon: Bruce Lee 1/6th scale Collectible Figure

Ah, thought it would be the non-bd body. But I guess it doesn't matter if you're going to cover it up with the jumpsuit.

And I read that this guy will be released in HK next week... :panic:
