Yes, excuse me everyone with no vested interest who probably haven't seen an Indy movie in years, who does this toy in this one out of context non official pic look like to you?

I'll trust my own eyes, 20/20 that got me through flight training in being able to see a simple resemblance. :dunno

Ok so they don't see Ford at all. At first I didn't see a lot either but as pictures and angles have changed I did see a bit in there.

No, it doesn't start being something wrong with their eyes. Sorry thats just not correct. Its just their two cents. You may feel they have something wrong but thats your opinion.

And I'll trust my eyes in which I wear contacts and have been able to get through life just fine even managing to get a college degree. Time to get over yourself a bit man. HT didn't nail this one out of the gate but may in the end with some tweaks.

Also side note don't try to label me as a hater. I've owned several HT figures and have several right now with more on order.

And just when I thought some sanity was returning to the thread, off we go again. How tedious :slap

Thanks to Small Studios for the constructive photoshopping. I think what he did with the cheeks made a huge improvement.

Perhaps HT could produce some exact copies of the prototype for those of you who are so adamant that it is fine and we are being fussy. The rest of us could then have the corrected figures that actually look like Indy and everyone would be happy.

I love SS Indy sculpt and gear... but as a whole...
out of the box... tell me, which one is better:

I didn't say you were a hater, and I guess posting right there again wasn't enough so here, let's see if your eyes pick up this 3rd same comment: It's not perfect. With a few minor tweaks, mainly the cheeks as pointed out, it looks better then the options available short of a resized/recasted 18" head. Your trying to label me as some Hot Toys fanatic.

Get over myself? Your running around showing cropped pics of a toy to people in your spare time to try to disprove the sculpt when we don't even have any official pics or specs yet. Its clearly not finished as there was no DX base or Headpiece for starters. And if theres anything HT show threads have proved its the lighting always changes the way the heads look. Wanna see how well that method works. I just showed it to 63 people and they all saw Ford. Wow thats official. I almost believe it...

So again to sum up, not perfect, not zero resembalnce to Harrison Ford, not even really officially shown, so I'd say its not time to count them out yet. So far they have a prototype thats better then anything else in the market. I don't think its time to go back to the drawing board.

Nothing happened by what I posted. Though nice effort in trying to toss something on me. :lol I'm just pointing out to someone who is trying to act like people who don't see it are having vision problems.

Err..why?
And what do you mean by better?

What is the point of comparing them constantly? Shouldn't we be comparing the HT one to the real Indy, you know, from the films? You know there are Indiana Jones films right? :wink1:

:panic::panic::panic:

Need full spec and pics

Can't remember being this excited for a long time over the reveal of spec and pics

Wasn't having a go at you Josh. Sorry you couldn't see that. Kind of illustrates my point though, so much needless confrontation.

"Out of the box," I think it is a no-brainer that Hot Toys is the way to go. But keep in mind that the Hot Toys version is most likely gonna cost over twice the price of the Sideshow version, which apart from the paint job (specifically, the horrible paint on the eyes and areas around the eyes) is damn good and would be a worthy addition to most collections.

While this may be the "best" Indy made so far, it still has loads of problems. Hopefully corrections are made to the hat, likeness, holster and belts. The hat especially is terrible.

I said before anyone says anything. I've seen that just fine cause I've said basically that same thing. :slap

That wasn't me that said that. Sorry. :lol As far as their prototype being the best on the market. I think that is again a matter of opinion.

Indeed. Indeed. Thats why like Rizzo said and what I tried to get across earlier. I'm more than willing to basically rebuy what I already have but so far I'm just not feeling it.

So do you believe in terms of stitching, tailoring, paint apps, color of gear, body, all around included accessories, there is a better option?

I just feel at this stage that the Sovereign Studio jacket is going to be hard to beat for accuracy, I am really not sure if HT will change the jacket so shameless post but if you have a spare one or just want to sell your Sovereign Studio jacket then please pm me :)

I like Sideshow's stitching on Indy's stuff and tailoring/coloring of his clothes. Paint apps I like Hot Toys better but like the likeness of SS much better while I think you get a better deal on extras with SS. I say that cause honestly I don't look at extra outfits as a big deal. I either have to switch out clothes or buy a second figure. Plus I've already got a custom map room that to me looks even better than HT version. I've already got the idol piece that even if you add the two figures together would still be cheaper than the HT figure more than likely.

Thats the long answer I suppose. :lol

Short is right now honestly I think if the HT version is left as is you'll end up having to spend the same amount as some did with the SS versions to really make it "perfect:.
