Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

I'm glad people cancelled, but this is the piece to get this year so can't understand cancellations. Though - :yess:

Its a great statue but I think the price point was very high on this. I would think those who are canceling dont really want to but it is 400 right around Christmas. Bad Timing on SS.

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

I just got this email. I had both the regular and EX on my wait list.

Dear Collector,

We wanted to take this opportunity to e-mail you about your wait list reservation for your Spider-Man Comiquette (item#200065). At this time we have not had any cancelations for this item; therefore, we will be CLOSING this wait list shortly and canceling all collector reservations that have been submitted. Once this is completed you will receive an e-mail confirming the cancellation, until you receive this initial email, your wait list reservation will still remain active.

We may not be able to assist you in acquiring a Spider-Man regular edition (item#200065) at this time, but we strongly encourage that you to place your order for the Spider-Man Comiquette Exclusive edition (item#20002651) while we have less than 20 pieces available!

This item is no longer available through our site but if you are interested in acquiring the Carnage Exclusive Edition, then you will need to respond directly to this e-mail with the following information (please note there is a $10 difference for the Exclusive):

1) Full Name

***This offer is a first come first serve basis, please keep in mind we have a limited amount of pieces available****

If you choose not to take this opportunity, then no action is necessary. Please let us know if you have any further questions!

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

Why would the EX not be sold out but the regular is? All the LCS buying multiple regulars?

I know the EX print isn't amazing to some people but it still is a lower edition size and the prints nice. Strange.

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

I think Sideshow likes to keep extra exclusives on the side to release later as a "second chance opportunity." I just jumped on the Ex. waitlist a few days ago and got a conversion, so I'll cancel my BBTS pre-order when it gets shipped. Worth paying the extra price for piece of mind that I'll be happy with paint apps. This is going to be a jewel in my collection, so I don't want to mess around.

Wonder what I can get for re-selling the lame-o print by itself? . . .

I guess some people can get a huge discount minus shipping on regulars and don't want the prints and I don't blame them. I have friends who save over $100 after taking off shipping and taxes. Personally, the prints or the edition size aren't a big deal to me, the statue is what rocks more than a piece of paper or a number. Since it is polystone, that in indisputable. Just get a photocopier and a nice pen.

You should try if you don't really want to keep it, they seem to go for a bit sometimes. It's only a matter of time that we see people start using photocopiers and printers to start duplicating them and duping buyers.

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

I hate exclusive prints. That's the only reason I didn't go with that from the get-go. I can't imagine more than a handful of people actually putting that up on their wall (mostly folks who feel obligated just because they have all 3 from the Spidey crew :lol ). Oh, well. I might just throw it on eBay. Maybe it will cover the extra amount I'm paying by not going through BBTS.

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

Got on the WL for the Ex. yesterday. Got an email today saying it will convert to an order on Wednesday!

I wonder if that means it will go back in stock on the site? That way I could at least use my reward points and get it for free, which I'd much rather do.

Wow, in that case it may go on 2nd chance, they will give it a while to generate the extra hype to try to sell the under the false 'sold out' tag but that means it's still available. Wonder if they will come out with 5 variants of it : P

Re: Spider-Man Comiquette - Waitlist links available in 1st post.

Not likely. Check out the e-mail guys with regular waitlists received posted by Modus a few posts back. I figure they'll get enough responses from that to outweigh the Ex. cancellations that may be forthcoming. But maybe not.

SSC won't let yah unless you cancel the order and wait for it to appear on the second chance, very risky IMO.

Risky risky... but your call.

Yeah I know. That's why I'm hoping it goes on second chance before my order converts, but that's unlikely. This tactic is a bad move on SSC part if you ask me. If you've already secured an order, there really is no reason why you shouldn't be allowed to use the points you've saved up buying their products.
