Nice figure. His pants look a little baggy though.

The way the helmet looks on will be a deal breaker for me... and how much I like the film, of course... I'm not really a big Thor fan but I'm digging the way the film looks over Cap, ATM.

so how long until Loki is announced!!!
:p
Am really liking this figure!
Im sure the movie will do fine........

Im a huge Thor fan but am surprised how many people think this looks great?? Im sorry but Im not too impressed with it, the figure looks way too thin and the face isnt as impressive compared to the Downy Jr. head sculpt. Damn, maybe my favorite hero will be one I pass on....dissapointing

It's usually the die-hard fans that are most critical to the small details, so I understand where you're coming from. All I can say is, the head is really not that bad and that it's actually pretty good, considering the fact that it's the first Hemsworth head sculpt. It took they about 4 tries to get to where they are with RDJ's headsculpt and I'm confident they'll get there quicker with Hemsworth since they're off to a great start already. I wouldn't dare miss out on this figure

Im not saying it looks bad, but to me it does look too thin according to movie clips. I dont know just looks cheap to me, like its missing something that HT usually has, could be the sculpted pants why wouldnt they be made out of cloth like the Ghost rider. Im hoping they change this

I like him but I thought he looked a tad thin. Maybe bulk up the legs with TT thigh pieces.

Best pic i've seen:clap Must Get!!:rock:rock

Oh I see now the pants are fabric, I thought they were just sculpted. That picture looks better would like to see more closeups of the face though he looks like he has Downs syndrome in that picture. Overall though the body looks better than the first

I agree with the others who've said this God of Thunder looks a little anemic.

And while HT's execution doesn't fail to impress (once again), I can't say much about Marvel's costume design for movie-version-Thor.

It suffers from the dreaded "looks-like-latex-casted-film-prop-armor" rubber look. (Are there rubber trees in Asgard? If one falls after Ragnarok does it make a sound?)

And the headsculpt suffers from bland expression-itis. Yeah, we all know that neutral-to-benign expressions are the norm, but the dude who weilds Mjǫllnir should be screaming, with teeth bared and eyes blazing! (Walt Simonson, white courtesy phone!!)
This guy looks like he's trying to decide which salad dressing to buy.

The kitbashing possibilites of this figure are intriguing. Anyone think his silver scaled shirt is removable/bashable?

When are the specs on Thor going to be coming out and when can we expect these to go up for sale on pre-order.

I agree Gully, I wasnt too big on the movie costume design either. I liked the latest Thor look in the comics myself and while Hemsworth himself did a good job bulking up, I still think they should add more to the costume. The movie pants and boots just plain suck IMO too biker looking. Sorry if everyone likes it not trying to stir anything up.

This week or next ..as i recall it was a few weeks after seeing chris taylor at the toyshow before we got his full specs and proto pics.
