Re: 1-6th X-wing project

I wish I lived near him so I could charge people admission to see his master works... Of course I'd cut Mark in on a percentage of the proceeds... I'd take 20% for my own time spent giving Mark 80%.... of which 23% would go to the Local Bridge and Transit Authority, 37% to the local Chamber of Commerce and 17.5% to the Trinidad & Tobago Urban Renewal act of 1983, leaving Mark with a total of 2.5% of the gate.

Being American I'll have to pay my taxes state side.... Which indecently I may well forget to do altogether leaving me with my full cut.

BTW, the weathering looks perfect mate! This project went from the best 1/6th scale vehicle custom I've ever seen to a direct prop replica right from the Lucas Film archives! :rock

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

The weathering really makes the panels pop Dorgs. Sometimes the simple techniques work best eh?

I tell ya, you could charge to see your work... Maybe one day?

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

nah I could never do that Flosi. One of the things I love about this forum is that its FREE LOL I love the sharing of journeys that we all go through, Thats why I document as much as I can. For me it makes it interesting and fun. I know not everyone does it but thats fine, I just love coming on here and seeing what everyone has been up to and their own personal missions to make, create, build and share. If I could afford it would love to go back to the old days of making gonks when I could give stuff away. :(

The weathering is ok but there is still room for lots of improvements but I have a bee in my bonnet about the next project... But I am staying true to my word and only focusing on a couple of projects at once.. must...stay... on....target!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

holy moly.............i'm totally blown away by how good this has turned out.......:panic:

taking a break from a major project like this to sit & stew is sometimes the best thing to do to make a finished piece that more awesome. you get back to it with clear eyes and mind & a whole new perspective.

well that's my story anyway & has nothing to do with my procrastination or bouts of laziness or that i would rather go drink beer to the wee hours..........:wink1:

Re: 1-6th X-wing project

I am also thinking of cutting his boots down as they are way to long. Ow it never ends....... and I hope it never does.... guess I should get back to the drawings for next project... Now what could it be :) no prizes for guessing I am afraid.
