Maybe a comic book batman line?

the only way a comic book batman line fro Hot toys Could be any better, would be if it was a universal DC comic Heroes line instead.

I really don't see hot toys doing anything from arkham asylum, i don't think its the kind of thing they would take on.
The character models are a bit over the top/cartoonish imo.

You're right. hot toys would never make an over the top, or cartoonish 1/6th figure. it's not like they have any record of ever doing that.
But you never know, they might surprise us.

I'd be genuinely surprised if they made a TDK Gordon. If a freakin' Two Face figure couldn't sell, how would a $150 realistic Ned Flanders?

Excep they confirmed an Oldman Gordon a While back, they just said they were not sure WHEN he was going to be getting a release.

Well if they had done a better job on the two face jacket and had a more screen accurate burnt side on the two face head, I'd wager the figure would have done better.

The success of a Gordon figure is equal parts about how good the execution of the head is and what accessories he comes with (a 1/6 Batsignal would do nicely:lol)

Not only that, Gordon's success is also related to his personal popularity, and ho sparingly ANYONE has ever made figures of him.

I like Commissioner Gordon, and WILL buy one if HT makes him.

My guess is an Adam West Batman since the preview has a round head with small bat ears and a short cape which would be more reflective of the TV costume than the Keaton movie versions.

Is it wrong that'd I'd prefer that to an 89 Batman?
No more rubber suits please.

:lol

If one of these is Lobby Scene Neo, I couldn't care less about the other two. :D

Very exciting though.

Lobby Scene, or Matrix 2 Neo.

but if I don't get a Matrix 2 neo, I've got the Triad toys clothing set sitting in a bag.

If we're going to guess I'm saying t's Heath ledger from brokeback mountain.

A spoon with a bend , a load of men angels in a love heart and a batman silhouette.

Bent , men in love , was in batman.

That makes more sense than man of steel spoon to me anyway.

That, REALLY made me laugh.

Matrix? I friggin' hope so! I want a Lobby Neo, Morpheus (preferably from the second film) and Agent Smith at least!

I don't need another MJ figure, but I can appreciate 'em. The Thriller figure is good enough for me.

As for the third... yes, I'd probably buy an '89 Batman, but to be quite honest, I'd be even more excited if it was Big Daddy from Kick Ass.

I mean, we KNOW we'll get a Keaton Batman eventually - Kick Ass figures would be much more interesting news to me!

Hey Hot Toys should make porn figures!

That is... not a bad idea.

Im guessing gordon, because howard chan said in an interview that they were considering making a gordon figure, and that interview was a while ago. But i really hope its the 1989 batman:pray:

And I think all of them sold like poo . . . .

wacky theory time on the batman sitck figure that is shaped like a bathroom sign...what other role is michael keaton famous for? that's right! mr mom! well, the most famous scene from that movie and the one that's featured on the poster takes place where? that's right! the bathroom!

Is that the actual cover for the DVD? If so, it's an awful PS job. It's like they didn't even try.

irrelevant.
Though i'm not so sure. i've seen Golgo go for 280ish on the evilbay.
can't comment on the others.

Point is, they did make them, meaning they're willing to try different figure types.
As such, arkham asylum figures are not such an "out there" concept for them to do.

I would guess if the Batman-like symbol isn't Big Daddy from 'Kick Ass' then it stands for all and any possible superheroes. It is an access sign, like the sign that delineates male and female toilets, maybe that's an important point. Here it's modified to indicate a superhero, possibly meaning that a superhero - any superhero - may enter here. It looks like Batman clearly, but I still don't think HT would be that obvious in a teaser - that's really no teaser at all. If it's a Batman figure, I will eat my shoes.

I'm going to bet that it's Big Daddy, I got me a hunch there, and if it's not Big Daddy then it's some other unexpected superhero, and if it's not that, then it's some sort of announcement to do with DC in general (which may very well go nicely with hopes for Batman releases).

Heh, yeah, the woman looks like Slimer floating through the air with no legs. It's kind of horrifying when you think about it.

Big Daddy?

That is image is obviously of Batman. I never thought "superhero" stood for a stick figure image of Batman. Now Superman, I could see. A cape, hands at the waist etc. But there's a scalloped cape and the signature Bat ears.

If it's not Batman related I'll eat my pants.

Hot Toys has been focused on realistic characters from live action films, though. They have done a cartoony character here or there, but I get the impression that they don't like to move too far away from their bread and butter. Comic-style comic characters are something I would love to see them go after, but they've stuck with film versions of Marvel and DC characters so far and I figure that's what we are gonna see into the future, possibly until they have a thriving line of cartoony characters.

I think Arkham Asylum would be a nice starting point because it almost crosses the line between cartoony and realistic. But that is wishful thinking at this point.

Yes, that it's obviously modeled after Batman is trouble to my theory... Perhaps my toilet sign comparison works here and the hint/teaser is that any Batman figure could enter here but which one it'll be you do not know. I guess that works and makes sense as a teaser, thinking about it that way.

Still, my gut is telling me Big Daddy, that's the bet I'm placing. I don't even want a Big Daddy figure, it's just the bet I'm throwing out there.

Yeah, maybe.

If it is Big Daddy that's an easy pass for me and this teaser will have meant nothing. Neo (if he is the one they choose) might be cool though, not sure I'd buy him.

Im surprised so many people think it's Michael Jackson just because the logo was on his Beat It shirt. The Logo has a deeper meaning behind it and could mean anything in this case.

There's no way in hell it's Big Daddy. Kick Ass was too much of a dud at the box office for HT to take a chance on it, especially this long after it's release.

What is more likely though? HT has done MJ before, this is referenced with MJ. Probably gonna be MJ. That line is hot.

Mars Attacks?!?!?!?

Well, not just because of that.. but because HT have already put out Thriller, Billie Jean and Bad versions of MJ and it makes sense to round out the line with at least another iconic version. The market is ripe because of his recent passing and so many people are hungry for whatever MJ items they can get their hands on.

It's Michael Jackson. I will eat my entire wardrobe if it's not.

Oh i agree that HT will make more, and i hope they do,but that logo alone(Love) probably means love/will never be forgotten/forever in our hearts and might very well be Reeve Superman,Bruce Lee(Unlikely though).I have seen that Specific logo before and it could be a tease for a Person who passed away and not a simple meaning like a logo on a Shirt.

Em like what? It is 100% MJ!
You think it's a coincidence that it's the logo on MJ Beat It?!
