Honestly, I am just gonna call it like I see it: This R2 is a mess.....he's not well proportioned at all, and to say he is a little 'out of scale' with other 1:6 is an understatement.

agreed. Although I dig the lightup features.

C3po looks ace though!

It's a shame that this R2 unit has a bad motivator :(

OK People
Again sorry for the crappy pics...
Here's 3PO!! It's just awesome!!!
And having both Droids together is beautiful!!!
We just need a decent Chewbacca to have the whole main Rebels!!

One final pic with my Jabba Setup!!!

Awesome figures, but too much inacurated.
Medicom is off from bussines since a couple of years, specially for the overprice.

Those look great, kuzeh! They definitely don't compare to Hasbro's.

Kuzeh dropping the hammer! This is reassuring to me, I'll keep my order. :duff

Threepio is pretty great looking overall - some room for improvement with the SS/HT one, but all-in-all, a very, very nice job

Me likey velly much!
Defo getting both...

Nice to see i'm not alone, except for the fact that i don't really want R2.....YET.

Great pix, thanks kuzeh.

I should just say though, I think people are right to criticize inaccuracies in figures at this price range. I'm not defending the scale issues at all, they have obviously made a couple of mistakes. It's really just that fortunately for me, those mistakes do not detract from what I think are stunning looking figures overall.

I think saying that we should be getting "Museum Pieces" is taking it a bit far though. That said, I don't think taking a pair of measuring calipers out and saying "You know, I think R2 was maybe a bit taller than this" would have hurt.

I agree about the price issue. But i dunno if they're mistakes. I think it could be that Medicom just doesn't give a ____. Maybe? Never have. I honestly think they just don't care about scale given their history. (and that's fine with me) To me they have always been the company that makes things their way, and their style. They are kinda like "here's our style on this product, like it cool, if not cool." (I mean they make bearbricks :))

I am glad to see the New Boba ROTJ fig back down to a normal price though.

Love this simple pic

Yeah, that's an awesome shot. Regardless of eye shape or whatever, that's Threepio, right there.

Medicom pricing aside, I can understand from how it's put together and the apparent build/finish quality of c-3po why it's fetching the price it is - but R2??

I have a ten dollar alarm clock sitting in front of me and no pic I've seen has convinced me that medi's version is worth anything like 20 times as much as this. Sheesh, a cynical medicom marketing ploy conceived because fans who by one - the better one - will likely buy both? Couldn't be...

I don't know, it looks worth the money to me. All the light up features, the lovely way they've engineered the middle leg.

All of the Medicom figures I've bought have a nice luxury feel to them.

____in AWESOME!

SOLD!

:hi5:

Yep, and anybody who says that is crazy!!! :cuckoo:

:clap

3p0 looks nice (except the eyes). However R2 is looking worse to me with every picture I see.

Sean

What's wrong with the eyes?
R2 is awesome, sorry you don't like it!!!

Yep, 3PO looks amazing!!! Other than scale, I don't think SS's will be better design and quality-wise. But we'll see in about 2 years...

:rock!

Not sure what you mean, yes they are over-priced, but they are amazing figures!

I understand why people want 100% accurate pieces, but with mass production figures, it will never happen...
Even the best Hot Toys figures have plenty of detractors...
so, I just enjoy the hobby and let the nitpicks for REAL important things...

Medicom caters the Japanese market... if you like it great, if you don't, they will still sell. They've been in business for years with great success... some people like their style but it's not for everyone.
Scale wise, I think they are just keeping it consistent with all of their releases...

And that 3PO pic is awesome!

Japanese toys are expensive... as I said, they are overpriced, but they are awesome figures.
Believe me that comparing these to any other $10.00-$20.00 collectible is just nonsense... :peace

Yep, I like my Medis a lot, specially the Fetts!!!
