I finally plucked up the courage to customize one of my Medicom "vanilla" troopers . Decided on a 501'st as it seemed the most straightforward and I'll probably never get to pick up the Medi "Vader's Fist " ! Still considering whether to add any more battle damage/weathering .

Nice one TG. I am impressed on how stratight you got the blue lines going down his legs. You must have steady hands my friend!!

Well Chaka , my hands are pretty steady , it's my eyes that let me down nowadays ! All the straight lines are thanks to good masking tape ( Tamiya ) . Not all the lines were perfect , but you can get around this with the help of a sharp scalpel and the addition of a little judicious "battle damage" ! :wink1:

Nice job!

If I hadn't known he was a customized white trooper, I would have thought he was just a Medi 501st!

I couldn't paint a straight line without masking tape if my life depended on it, it really does help a lot.

Very nice work thunderpants!

Thanks Dude , I'll be honest it took me a while to pluck up the courage to attempt it . There's something about a pristine , shiny Medi Trooper that is rather intimidating and relatively straightforward projects like this can easily ( and often do ) go tits up .:lol

:lol

When you have a $150 - $200 figure that also happens to be known to break if you squint at it, you gotta have a lot of guts to do anything to it!

With the Medi's, "anything" includes posing em. Thank God my Medi trooper hasn't broken yet!

From what I have heard, un-boxing them is a major risk, though it seems they have the tendency to break when the factory boxes them up anyway.:lol

Now you've gone and done it ! I've 3 Medi Clones and have always thought of them as being quite sturdy and have had no qualms about posing away . Now I'm scared of picking them off the shelf !!
Thanks Guys :gah:

Your very welcome, and keeping in mind what DP said, it might be in your best interest not to even make eye contact with them from here on out. :rotfl

its strange-- ive got two ep2 medicom clones that feel lovely and safe to adjust etc but the jango and boba feel like theyre gonnna shatter when you move the arms etc
different plastic? in the body

Just finished a custom Clone Wars Rex "Cold Weather Armor" version.
I know the photos need to be redone this winter with snow and not green trees in the background.

Hope you guys like.
