I got my tracking number for the other suit, and already received my vest from 7toys7 and the backpack from Toy Anxiety.

toysmon. I'm hoping to get it in the next day or so. I'm hoping to drop in to toys2 tomorrow and grab a Narrow.

Fellow artists were critiquing his work. People who stated they have no interest in it took the time to look at his work and instead of blindly praising him (as happens on these boards at times), they decided to tell him their honest opinion. I see nothing wrong with that.

Daniel didn't have to make the revisions. But he did and his heads are all the better for it.

And sorry if this response is tactless. I'm pumped to own these heads. They'll be the first I own from Daniel.
I am not going to beat a dead horse. And I am not going to single anyone out but there were enough comments about Daniel rushing his work and pumping these things out to the detriment of the quality that he felt he had to write a post defending the amount of time he spent on these sculpts. And those people know who they are. It was even intimated that he needed to take a long break as he was already burned out. That is just what we need. The only sculptor on these boards who hasn't burned out and become virtually unreachable and people are telling him he needs to take a long break from sculpting. I am not going to list who was tactless and who wasn't or start name calling but this is a public offering and as such we should just be grateful that he is still doing it for us. The number of sculptors willing to offer public pieces is pretty small and I am just saying that driving him nuts with posts and PMs about such minutiae is not the way to handle things. Think about it-Daniel makes X amount for a commissioned piece. That is guaranteed. With a public piece he has to spend the same time (or in this case twice as much time) sculpting the piece and then has to sell 10+ casts to make the same money. It makes much more sense from a business point of view to take the commission money and have that security than to deal with the uncertainty of a public piece. Some people were treating this as if it were a private commission and that is wrong. If you want to have that much input, pay the price. If you don't want to pay, then be quiet and let Daniel work his magic.

I think atm those boards are full of people bashing someone else works, and not in a cool way.
Most of people don't realize how much work it is to sculpt or to make customs.
It's really a shame.

Agreed. Daniel, has given so much time, effort and created some
great sculpts for the pulbic. I myself, think he should do 99% commission only with an occassional public release.

:lecture Because if you're paying, you get a say, if you're not paying for the commission, you get no say!

We're lucky Daniel even listens at this point.
Let's not push away another great artist. If you really want complete
control, pay for it....he's worth every penny. If not, at least take
the time to be tackful in your comments, when an artist like him, is generous
enough to offer up public sculpts. We can't afford for
people to not think before they speak.
We want Daniel to be here
for a long, long time. That we can all agree on.

:hi5:

I just read this:

https://chud.com/articles/articles/...HE-MEANING-AND-SECRET-OF-INCEPTION/Page1.html

from the other inception thread

according to that analysis,
it would make sense to christopher nolan since cobb is still dreaming and his whole adventure is bizarre as dreams are :lecture

Please don't read into this explanation. The author (Devin) is an idiot and this piece is a pompous opinion. If you read the shooting script interview with Christopher Nolan, Devin's idea that is supposedly the way the entire world "will read/interpret this film in the future" is not even close to being accurate.

everybody who ordered the tony stark three peice suit have u guys gotten a tracking number?? the person i ordered from doesnt speak great english and ebay says it hasnt shipped yet so im worried.
Anybody got any news?

I still don't have mine but I have had a few things just show up on ebay and have never even been given a tracking number even though they should have sent it. I wouldn't be surprised if they arrived at our doors without even having the tracking info.

Thank you! I was hoping someone would patch up that "plot hole."

How did this thread become a movie discussion thread all of a sudden? :cuckoo:

I came across them while looking for Inception tie reference pics for the "Greggo Custom Cigarettes and ties" thread. Couldn't find much in the way of ties, but was glad to find the pics I did, because that's the look I'm going for with Cobb. :)

I've already purchased all the clothes though, so hopefully it all works out.

And hopefully they start arriving! :impatient: :panic:

Neat.

I found this on my own:
https://www.nolanfans.com/inception/gallery

Pretty decent until the DVD hits. A blue denim shirt is not possible to find. And I own the Virtual Explorer's blue shirt and it sucks for this bash. Too shiny. I'm in no rush.

I did get the DiD vest and pants for Arthur. I can't see the pinstripes in the movie and all the screen grabs so I prefer the tailoring of them and there were only 2 on eBay. Don't wanna miss out! Just need a shirt like that Tony Stark suit and eventually pick up some shoes and I'd be good to go!

True it's not denim but it's got an interesting texture nothing in the 1/6 world embodies.

I'm back to the leather jacket look. Can't wait to see pics of that jacket. It looks dark and wanna wait to see what it looks like. I wonder if we can lighten it? We're gonna have one beastly Cobb!
