I wish that there could be some sort of rerelease of the WETA bust line.

Those were some beautiful pieces of art!

I really think the eFX line is dead already.

No kidding...
no news regarding these guys...

BTW, the Muppets won a Webby award,
and check this hilarious video:

I saw the preview comics during SDCC, I actually bought one... I don't like them at all... the cool thing about the Muppets is them being "puppets"... and great characters... these comics... not so much fun.

I just watched Labyrinth on Blu-Ray and decided to watch some of the special features. Anyways, they showed Brian Henson at a few parts in his office (I think) and on the shelves behind him he had quite a few of the Palisades Muppet figs. Made me smile! He needed to fix his Kermit though. He was leaning forward quite a bit. He obviously didn't get the 'pigeon toe' memo.

Same here. They were my favorite recent toy line by far. Dumped about all my Muppet stuff. Had close to a complete set at one point. Just have loose figs of Tux Bunsen & Beaker, Johnny Fiama, Swedish Chef (S9), Holiday Rizzo, and a Series 1 Bunsen somewhere in storage. I also have 5 of the mini-busts (Zoot, Dr Teeth, Lew Zealand, Rowlf, & Animal) (but my ex wife threw out the boxes..so they will be a tough sell) and of course have the MR Kermit.[/QUOTE

If your wanting to sell the bust I would be interested in the zoot and rowlf.

I loved the Palisades line, I was lucky to pick up a Backstage set for like $60 like four years ago. Very sad that Sesame Street never made it out.

That's a damn good price for the Backstage set. I paid around $200 or so. I've seen them go closer to $400.

I need more of the mini-statues myself. I only have Zoot.

Was this a few years ago? I honestly can't remember how much these sets were selling at the time but I remember thinking I got a great deal so they must have been going for $100+ at the time. Wish I had more stories like this but no.

I bought mine in 2006 or 2007. At one point, I saw a Zoot (yellow shirt) go for $200. But the prices of those figures has shifted pretty extremely one way or the other.

Which is why I'm keeping mine for awhile. Even when I do decide to sell them, there is no way in hell I'd ever attempt to ship them loose. They are super fragile and there isn't a question that they'll break (even with careful packing). Beautiful busts though. Rowlf and Dr Teeth are the 2 favorites that I own.

Those are two of my favorite Muppets--both voiced by Henson, and both keyboard players. I would like to have those over Kermit and the other big names, honestly.

I scored those busts a few years back at my LCS (Newbury Comics) marked down to $25 each. I grabbed Dr Teeth (they had 2 at the time), Rowlf, Zoot, and Lew. I already had Animal when they were initially marked down (someone winding uop getting Waldorf) to $35. It's amazing how much these command now. I get so pissed thinking that my wife at the time threw out those boxes to make room in a closet. She figured since they were in a glass display that I would never need the boxes again...

It's great to see some of my pieces can command such a high price...too bad I really don't want to part with said pieces. :)

Funny, I think I ordered my Backstage from that store via eBay.

I wouldn't be surprised. They own a chain of comic book stores throughout New England and they are an active ebay seller (as they put up in store collectibles on ebay from time to time. I've seen that Backstage Playset at one of those stores awhile back, but felt too funny shelling out the retail cost on it...

Looks like the eFX line is still coming! Pics of Rizzo (they couldn't have fixed his pupil?) and Reporter Kermit are up! (thanks to Micheal Crawford! mwctoys.com )

I think they both looks pretty good! Kermit looks better than the Master Replica version, that's for sure. Obviously the outfit needs to be futzed a little bit... What do you guys think?

New Hallmark Ornaments (Beakers being the first ever based off a viral internet video??):

Tonner Stuff (I know likeness isn't their strong suit... but that Kermit. Sheesh!)

loved the Palisades line. unfortunately never grabbed any of the SS busts as they are gorgeous. i was able to snag all of the Starbucks finger puppets about 8 or 9 years ago thanks to the frequent trips of my addicted spouse. Can't wait for the Efx line to get rolling.

I didn't see the Tonner Kermit @ SDCC... thankfully!!! :yuck!!

As for the Efx Replicas... well... the one guy told me they will come out for the Holidays... that's still far from "coming soon"... considering they announced the license over a year ago...

The Hallmark ornaments look great though...

You know... I'm quite a bit disappointed again by Disney... they "claimed" there was going to be a huge push of the Muppet franchise this year, but besides the Volunteer for Park tickets, there really hasn't been that much exposure...

Oh well... maybe next year with the new movie in the horizon...
