You are talking very dogmatically. Do you really believe it's a matter of right and wrong?
I just think it's a matter of different interpretations?
I'm with you on this one

I feel it should be up to you the viewer to decide.
It's like Blade Runner. I still believe that Dekard is Human, regardless that Ridley Scott says otherwise. It's just sits with me better. I was pleased to find out I was not alone when I saw Frank Darabont being interviewed about it
Spoiler:The spinning top at the end is almost proof that you can indeed have different interpretations. It spins, then begins to die, then spins again. Excellent ending. However I saw the movie the exact same way Deckard explained it. Its one of those rare times I got it the first time viewing it
Spoiler:, I believe the only thing really open to interpritation is if the top did indeed stop spinning or not, either way he is still defiantely dreaming.

is lame imo. Because according to what you believe is hard and fast, it doesn't matter if it stopped or not.Spoiler:is whether the top stopped
Well, I "got it" to, I just accepted the more "superficial" interpretation.
Would love to see what Noland would say about that.
Saying that the only thing left open to interpretationis lame imo. Because according to what you believe is hard and fast, it doesn't matter if it stopped or not.Spoiler:is whether the top stopped
No it does matter, its just not what alot of people would like. Personally I think its brilliant, he still gets to be happy, and if he doesn't know it makes it real.
"Dreams feel real while we're in them, its only after we wake up we realise something was actually strange."
Its all right there.
Spoiler:Imo he's still in Limbo along with Saito at the end because they were the only two not to escape the sunken van. The spinning top is the icing on the cake.

Spoiler:And because they never get kicked back to that 1st level, they can never wake up. They are forever in comas in the real world.
Maglor, in response to Saito offering him the gun, he was offering to kill his body for real. They were still sedated, if he shot himself he wouldn't wake up, he'd die for real. Cobb instead chose to build again.
No it does matter...
Spoiler:Also did you answer what happened towards the end between Saito, Cobb and the gun? And what happened after that? How did he get from there to the plane?
Why does it matter if it stopped or not, with your interpretation?
Spoiler:Also did you answer what happened towards the end between Saito, Cobb and the gun? And what happened after that? How did he get from there to the plane?
Spoiler:he got to the plane by building it from memory, something he tells Ellen Page not to do, but Arthur says"notice how hes always doing things he tells you not to." Hes an architect too, Cobb. He builds his friends, his house, his children from memories. Thats why they are dressed the same way as they were in the dreams and flashbacks.
It matters because Mal locked her totum away, and thats how she forgot the dream world wasn't real, its why she killed herself. Cobb had to get the totum from her safe and spin it, to show her it was still spinning and they were dreaming all that time and he wanted to wake up. It went on for so long in the dream tho she couldn't handle reality. The important differance is that if Ariadne stopped it for him, he can also over time forget hes in this new limbo he built and it will become real to him. I again quote Cobb "Dreams feel real while we're in them, its only after we wake up we realise something was actually strange."
YOu need to plant it deep to convince them its not just some one else's idea.
...and IMO this is the best piece on the soundtrack

.
Yes we agree and with your new user name maybe we can be Leo friends
On a serious note I can't believe what an amazing actor Leo's become (2002ish - present) He and Depp are my favorites right now.

Spoiler:That's actually another clue that it's a dream. It was explained multiple times in the film that you can just wind up in a certain place in the middle of an event, place or conversation. The explanation for how he got to the plane is irrelevant... because he was still dreaming.
Also, he wound up onshore and couldn't even remember why he was supposed to see Saito. Another piece of evidence that he was stuck in limbo until he "woke up" into the final dream at the end.
far outweigh otherwise.Spoiler:the end is a dream
Spoiler:the 100% happy ending might be looking a bit too far down that road.
Anyone think Nolan would've cast Heath Ledger, maybe in Gordon Levitt's role, if he were alive?
