MJ looks just a bit too buff in that white shirt. Haven't got the shipping notice on mine yet.

I've been eyeing the KO recasted Billie Jean sculpts on eBay. So many people complained about the Thriller head, and how they wanted the other sculpt that we were shown originally. But no one complained about the head that Michael approved of him self. I've been looking at it, and made a few digital mods to it via Microsoft paint. I dont have photo shop. Here's the pic-

First thing you'll notice is that I shortened that Leno chin, and gave it the dimple. I widened the lips, narrowed the nose, and raised it a little higher on his face, giving him a bigger gap between his nose and his upper lip. Raised the cheek bones, gave him heavy eye liner, and added eye shadow make up. Topped of with a few more strands of hair painted across his forehead. In my opinion, it looks alot better, and alot more like him from the Dangerous/HiStory era. But I'm also seeing alot of "The Way You Make Me Feel" video look. Maybe its the blue shirt.

Considering going ahead and doing this on the mentioned ko recasts. Just wanted some thoughts. Opinions.

I asked kidult toy shop (the guy from that video unboxing i posted earlier) how much it would cost shipped 2 Ireland ..he replied $520USD ..what!?:horror, does he take me 4 an idiot? I liked the guy 4 all the videos he would always do on the newest released figure's ..but for giving me that price i have just lost allot of respect 4 him.

That is insane? Is he buying a private jet to have it sent over?

You can easily get quotes for how much shipping would be from the official postage websites (Like EMS or Parcelforce) so I don't know who he is going to scam with lying like that.

How can that idiot sell anything with those prices? The Shipping rates in norway are crazy enough and sending a figure to a country outside europe is 50$ at the most.

Or he could be quoting the shipping as $120, which is a price I've seen several times before for international postage on figures like this. TFAW, for another example, charges $100 postage on your average Hot Toys/Enterbay figure, or did last time I checked.

Either way, I think a lot of the time when people quote high postage like this it's because they'd prefer not to go through the hassle of sending such a thing overseas, that's probably the situation here. They know they'll find buyers within their own country and so they see no need to accommodate those others around the world, which I think is a reasonable stance to take. He probably doesn't actually expect you to take him up on that price quote, I'd guess.

EDIT: I see that $320 for postage and not $120, heh, I misread. I'd say the second reason I gave is most certainly right then, not some kind of trickery. I think he gave you a price he knew you wouldn't accept. Also, another possibility, you're using numbers like "2" for "to" and "4" for "for," if you did that in writing to him he might've thought you were asking for postage on two figures or four or who knows... That's the end of my detective work for now, I have no more theories.

He could have just not replied, wouldn't that have been easier?.. quoting a price like that is just asking for trouble ..even if there were no bad intentions.

I edited another possibility into my comment as you were replying. You wrote here that you asked 'how much it would cost shipped 2 Ireland.' If used numbers in place of words in writing to him, just as here, he might've thought you were asking on the postage for 2 figures to Ireland, which if so would mean he was quoting postage at $60 each ($400 + $120). Maybe that's it?
