These Screenshots look amazing! They make the Moonwalker DVD look like my old VHS tape! They make not want to buy DVDs anymore. Thanks a lot Kuzeh! I do not have my Blu-ray hooked up yet. I need a new TV 1st. Someone out at Best Buy told me Blu-ray works best with a 46 inch or more TV is this true?

Any thoughts on what TV I should get? Ideas are welcome.

Ugh I watched this recently, one of my faves as a kid. Now that I'm an adult however... it sucks.

hmv exclusive title - available online and instore only from hmv. A combination of footage of Michael Jackson live in concert and a series of fantasy pieces with Jackson as the central character, Moonwalker showcases one of the greatest musical performers in history at his creative zenith.

A sensation upon its original cinema release in 1988, Moonwalker features live performances and music videos for some of Jackson's biggest hits. The outstanding centrepiece is the music video fantasy feature for Smooth Criminal set at a seedy underworld nightclub whose influence can be seen in the work of a whole new generation of performers like Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. It's a mini-movie, also featuring Joe Pesci (Lethal Weapon, GoodFellas, Home Alone) as an evil drug lord intent on pushing drugs to kids. With amazing special effects, this segment features Michael morphing into a car as well as a spaceship in the climactic finale.

I read some great reports that the UK version plays on the PS3 with no problems apparently...
So I went ahead and pulled the trigger!!
I'm sure we'll eventually get a US release, but screw it... I want it now!!! !

Kuzeh those parts are on my DVD. That's odd, If this was in the works before his passing, Maybe Michael asked for those parts to be cut. Michael loved kids and I would bet he did not want to show a child being hurt.

My Moonwalker VHS has one of Michael's Pepsi adds before the film starts. This is another thing that was cut from the DVD and Blu-ray. However, Now that I look back on it, The Moonwalker VHS with the Pepsi add on it was a store Exclusive if I remember right. This was back when I bought it in 1989.

I cannot remember what store it was.

True, But it still seems odd that they would cut the film. Fans should have been told the film has been edited at the time of pre-ordering. Fans are not going to like this IMO. I will let you if mine from HMV Japan has been edited when I get it. Even if I do not have my Blu-ray player hooked up yet, I will take it up to the video store by me. I have a friend there who likes Michael Jackson, She will let me play it on the stores player. When I told her the film was coming out on Blu-ray, and HMV is the only place to get it on Blu-ray, She about flipped out. She wanted to order some to sell in our store. Until she took a look at the price.

Actually I ordered mine from Ebay, from a guy that has it in hand and will be sending it to me today, so I hope it arrives here next week! !!!

And it's confirmed that those scenes are missing...

I was reading somewhere that Pepsi is going to start re-airing all of Michael's Pepsi adds by the end of this year! I hope it is true, I would LOVE to see them all again!

To be honest I always thought a few of the "darker" moments stood out like a mistake. The movie is fun, silly and entertaining. I agree they shouldn't have cut it, but I don't really mind. Any news of the 3D scenes that were mentioned as extras originally?

I did not hear of any 3D scenes that are to be extras but that would be mindblowing! :eek I am all for Moonwalker in 3D! I hope this is true!
