Just saw this thread. the Jedi Luke from Sideshow is a truly fantastic likeness and captures the character really well. I've been experimenting with hydrospan and hydroshrink (now hydrospan 100).

A more experienced caster could probably come up with some great results.

Center head is partially painted, hydroshrink head. (Note the collar is too tall).

If there really is interest in the creation of a new head, I might be willing to tackle this once I finish up what's on my plate now. (which is a lot at the moment)

The costume sure seems to sit better, but I do not like his choice of boots.

But, the headsculpt is okay. The unpainted versions look much better, but the eyes are still off, and the sculpting of the eyelids seems lazy.

Ben looks great.

Does seem like the paint is hurting that sculpt... size is good though. It is really amazing to see how giant that headsculpt really is :lol

That's just the Medicom sculpt reworked. . . the one everybody laughs at.

He looks pretty good to me. Man Mark Hamil is just so hard to capture in 1/6 scale.

He seems to cast bad ju-ju on people trying to sculpt him...

I'm convinced he's using Force powers on Sideshow and Medicom (Hasbro just sucks in general most of the time! :lol)...

You know how palpatine went from this

to this by using too much force lightning?

take a look at Hamil in ROTJ

Hasbro did do a bunch of almost perfect Luke sculpts, for a few Jedi and Hoth versions but they are just huge.

There have definitely been alot of failed attempts to capture Mark Hamil's likeness, but there are some good ones out there. I don't think the old Hasbro Luke was a bad sculpt. I remember repainting one many years ago...

and I also like Gentle Giant's farmboy Luke bust, Which I also repainted for my old ANH Luke custom...

Just pulled the gun, will be repainting my Jedi Luke. Cant take the eyes anymore :lol

will contact the girlfriend though, my painting skills are up to snuff, but I'm colorblind xD So I'll need her assistance and hopefully she'll give it!

So, this just dropped dead?

How can there be SO little interest in a good Luke Skywalker sculpt?!

I think we have "good" sculpts. SS Jedi sculpt is very good. At this point I'd say we're all hoping for a great sculpt, one without the pursed lips maybe? I'd think the best chance for that will be an Endor Luke, which could/should happen one day down the road....
