Thanks Mudshark, both good shouts. I've been experimenting with elastic bands for the helmet cover strap, but nothing seems to look right. I may have found a helmet on evilbay, buth the guy want's about $62 for it. I'm totally out of the loop with prices though is this a good price?

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone could help me out or point me in the direction of either a USCM helmet or the elastic strap that came with the hudson figure. I'm sooooo close to having a completed Hicks, just need these two things. If anyone does have these things PM me as I do have some misc marine stuff like burners etc.

Sorry man, I am waiting to get a hudson, the only thing I have is the helmet and it is already been customized and weathered to look screen accurate.

Its good if you can justify it, I personally couldnt pay for it but go for it if you want it.

That's just the thing, the price does seem a bit steep. Think I may give it a miss, keep looking

Back several months ago it was common
place to see the helmets selling on ebay for 50.00 plus shipping.

Ouch. That does seem pretty high for just a helmet, though. Guess it's a matter of timing as much as supply and demand. A complete set of Hudson armor went for $45 at Monkey Depot three years ago! Sadly, those days are now long gone.

I think I ended up paying $45 plus shipping for the one helmet I've got, and that damn thing came all the way from Malaysia,

I usually wouldn't pay that much for any one 1/6 item, but it was the last part I needed to have one complete marine set.

They had their names on a velcro patch that attached to their shirt or in Drakes case the body armour.

Hi, I don't think the first series (Hicks, Apone, Vasquez) had the name tapes, either that or mine were missing them from the start. I know that the Drake and Hudson figures came with them.

You're welcome. I ended up making some myself once I'd found the font online. I'd be interested to hear if anyone has a first series figure with the nametags tho'.

A useful site imho. They also have the armour stencil font.

You were right the first time, the first three figures didn't have the name tapes.

I'm pretty sure I found the USCM name tape font at either Aliens Legacy or Scifimilitary. Anyway, here's a pic of what it looks like.

EDIT: You beat me to it! Nice work, that's the one I meant. I'll leave this here for a while anyway. They have all three Aliens fonts, btw.
