Since this party will rock so hard and to make it a bit more elite, I will be capping the party at 40 people!

If you are in the list on page 1 it does not reserve you a space. I will PM you first to give you an early chance to get your payment in but it does not guarantee you a spot at the party. So get your names in now!!

Yeah, it's not that we wanna cap it...it's just that since CV is such a huge event, there's limited space and ofcourse prices is also a factor.

And since we're not really sponsored by anyone, we'll just have to pay it all ourselves. I hope you guys understand.

That's a very valid point and both me and Shropt are in negotiations with places. But the problem is that since where trying to do the party as close to the convention center as possible, the only places that can hold the amount of people that we have so far on our list around that area only offer per person prices. So there isn't really a place where that has a room we can rent out that have teh whole package deal, u know what I mean?

But trust me, we feel ur point.

Shropt and I are kinda worried that people won't show now that we said that there's a payment required .

I can't stress enough that the payment is not for us....but for you guys. Unfortunately, like I said in other post....we can't find anything that is set price, which includes food, drinks, entertainment, etc....
Every thing we find is on a per person basis.

We're doing everything possible to get the most affordable prices for everyone.

This is absolutely non-profit.

I hope people are still interested in coming to the party.... really think it's an awesome experience to meet your fellow freaks. Especially in an event like this.

Exactly.....

Everywhere we find requires a minimum of purchase of food and drinks per person. Instead of a group fee where we can just split the difference.
Also....most of the places require deposits and service fees.

I'm gonna call one of the places today to see if I can negotiate more.

I may have had two other people joining me for the trip, I was hoping to get them on the list too.. but I understand the limits.

It wouldn't be a problem to have them join us. We've only just hit 30 people on the list right now and that is before we've announced the price per person. There will be no limit on guests that you can bring.

Not a problem Swabie. Bam and I will be PMing everyone on the list once we've hammered out the final price. We are EXTREMELY close to booking the reservation.

Also know that the price will be around or under $50 per person. I hoping to make it less but trust me it will be worth the price.

I went to Orlando last night (it's 1.5 hr drive) and did some reconing....saw some places ...spoke with some people etc.

There's more work than I expected and it would really ease my mind if the people on the list can post if they are truely interested in coming....so that I can have a set amount of people when I talk to the booking agents.

The reason why we're booking a place as opposed to just meeting up at a bar, is becuz our group is to big and requires reservations. Also, like I mentioned before, we're trying to find a place thats close to the conventions centers since most of us are going to be in hotels around the area.

Just to give u guys a little update. We got 3-4 places in our minds.
With an estimate of 40 people...we're looking at the price to be around 40-45 bucks per person so that we can pay off the venue, service fee, tax fees, food, drinks etc, for 2 to 3hrs(these prices are not set in stone...so please don't chew me off). If everything plays out right, i'm thinking that the more people that come the cheaper it will be...but like I said, Shropt and I are still in negotiations.

This is absolutely non profit and it for all of us and this is not sponsored by anyone...So we need as much cooperation and updates as possible.

I just wanted to post this out there, (maybe I'm saying to much and it will come back to bite me)...so that you all can see what me and Shropt are dealing with.

I hope everything plays out awesomely and we'll have one of the best nights ever!!

If all else fails...we'll just have to crash some other forums party!
